I would rate the pricing of Snowflake Analytics a two out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. Especially when compared to competitors and what they offer, the pricing is good. Users pay for credits. It's on a consumption basis.
It's not costly if you configure it properly to ensure optimal performance. People don't configure it properly, which is why costs go up. So it depends on the knowledge of the customer.
I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price, and ten is high price. There are some additional costs based on the number of users or data warehouses.
The product's pricing is subjective. Snowflake operates on a credit basis. Thus, we can get licenses on pre-purchase credit. We get better discounts on larger purchases.
The product must improve its pricing model. We must scale it up considerably to get a good value. The tool is quite expensive. The product must provide a pay-as-you-go pricing option. I rate the pricing an eight out of ten. If we run big workloads in Snowflake, it will be more expensive than both BigQuery and Redshift.

On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price, I rate the pricing a seven. The solution's pricing is high. There are no costs in addition to its standard licensing price.
The cost depends on the size and on what you're using. I've had customers who spend a million dollars a year and customers that spend $20,000 a year. If you're not using it, it shuts off and you're not paying anything.
Conventional data platforms and big data solutions struggle to deliver on their fundamental purpose: to enable any user to work with any data, without limits on scale, performance or flexibility. Whether you’re a data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, or any other business or technology professional, you’ll get more from your data with Snowflake.
To achieve this, we built a new data platform from the ground up for the cloud. It’s designed with a patented new architecture to be the...
