The tool is expensive. It has become overpriced, especially after Tricentis Tosca grew as a company. Initially, we bought a license with an annual support fee, which wasn't too expensive. However, they changed the model, and now we have to purchase a license yearly, which has become quite costly.

It is more expensive compared to other tools on the market. The cost is a significant factor, and while we try to build client confidence, it’s still a challenge. When the licensing costs are introduced, some clients hesitate or even opt-out.
The price of the tool is a problem for a lot of Brazilian clients or Latino clients, as it is expensive. Where I work, if one is low price and ten is high price, I rate the tool's price as a ten out of ten. Everybody here understands that it is a really expensive tool. My company also has some clients from the USA or Munich, and even if it is more expensive than the other tools, it is easier to sell the solution. Overall, I can rate the product price as a nine or ten because most of the clients are from Brazil.

The product is very costly. The licensing model of Tricentis Tosca is tightly bound to user roles and activities, making it complex to manage. There are distinctions between test users and test runs, which can lead to some confusion. It would be beneficial if test developers were less restricted in their usage, perhaps by allocating licensing based more on test runs than individual developers. This could facilitate greater involvement of testers in test development without significantly increasing costs, as licensing could be based on usage metrics rather than individual user accounts

I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. It is on the higher side. There are open-source tools available, and there are other tools available that are much smaller. If you are looking at commercials, then there are options available that are newer.
Tricentis Tosca is not expensive at all. Tricentis Tosca's licensing cost seems to be in line with other products. We're currently using a per-user license because there are only four or five users. I rate Tricentis Tosca an eight out of ten for pricing.
If you are purchasing less than five licenses, then the pricing is high. On a scale from one to ten, with one being low and ten being high pricing, I would rate this solution at eight.
The cost is high for this solution. It is one of the highest in the market. That said, most big companies go for licensed automation applications in general due to security. It's not an open-source product. Big companies do prefer the licensed tool over free options.

The price of Tricentis Tosca is approximately Є10,000 for one license. However, it used to be much cheaper, but they changed their license structure. It used to be a structure where if you bought a license you would receive one year of free support and maintenance. Now they only have a yearly license, and that is expensive. The price of the solution does not include all features available. If you need a BI solution or API testing, then you have to pay extra. I rate the price of Tricentis Tosca a four out of five.

In terms of the licensing costs for Tricentis Tosca, we are spending more or less $70,000 per year. We have a very complex mechanism because there are some business users and some BI users, so the licensing structure is not simple, but support is included.

There are two licenses: single user and multiple user. A multiple-user license means that several people can work together on one project and collaborate on code stored in a central location. A single-user license is for people working alone on a one particular application. It's much cheaper than a multi-user workspace. If you are getting a large volume of licenses for an enterprise, you can probably negotiate a discount, but I'm not sure about that.

They are probably more expensive than other comparable tools, but you also get the full suite of testing tools. It has a wide range of capabilities. And, even though you pay probably twice as much, you get a lot more for your money.

I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to talk about the pricing, but it has some significant costs. For example, you have to pay a license and maintenance fee. Then the rest of the terms are negotiable. We have to consider what we need and what benefit we get from it. You can then make a business case and see how the licensing fits best since they have different licensing models. You have to find the right model of licensing for you and then negotiate a reasonable price. So we always make a business case, and if the business case is okay, the licensing price is also okay. It provides value for the money. It's a stable product with a lot of functionality. And as I said before, it keeps pace with all the new trends that the analysts suggest, so it's worth the money

The disadvantage is that it is very expensive. I would like to see better costing packs. There are several features but USD $11,000 for one license is expensive. If it had more interaction and if the license cost was a little less it would be better and rate higher.
We're simply customers of Tosca. We don't have any professional relationship with the company. The pricing of the solution is quite expensive. It's definitely not one of the cheapest options. It's very pricey. On top of the already expensive pricing, there are add-ons that help with the basic test suite, and you have to pay more for those.

We have a three-year license. The one thing I'll say is that it is very expensive. That's the reason we are not giving access to Tosca to everyone in the company, because it's licensed-based. The licenses are concurrent, but still, only our quality engineer workforce gets access to Tosca. Developers don't get access. Test automation developers don't get access. Others don't get access either. We have around 200 licenses and the cost around $1.4 million a year. We have found benefits with Tosca. That's the reason we went with it. Ruby and other open-source solutions are free, but we were not able to get the skillsets we needed for them and maintenance was an issue. With Tosca, we see benefits from that perspective. We don't have to lose our workforce. We can harvest the subject-matter expertise that people already have and use them for this. We did see a lot of benefit in moving to Tosca. That's why we were ready to take on a licensed tool, in comparison to an open-source tool. For Tosca, there are no other costs. Tosca BI is twice the cost of Tosca so we have limited Tosca BI licenses as well. There are things that come along with Tosca from Tricentis and we're looking at some of those tools.

We paid upfront for the licenses and maintenance and we pay the maintenance fees as we move forward, yearly. There are no additional costs that I am aware of.
Pricing is steep, if you go for the premium model. Advise would be to buy a mix of licenses, depending on the need. The Tricentis Sales are pretty good at helping you with this, once you give the intent to buy. They are not just shoving you the highest premium toy / license.
Tricentis Tosca is primarily leveraged for test automation across web, SAP, API, and mainframe applications, offering robust support for both regression and functional testing.
Tricentis Tosca's test automation capabilities extend to front-end and back-end testing, including processes like RPA and UI-based regression tests on Microsoft Windows. It supports Agile environments with multiple applications, enabling Salesforce automation, API endpoints, and end-to-end automation workflows....

Although the product is slightly more expensive than tools like Selenium, its automation capabilities and reduced scripting needs justify the cost.
