I am an internal auditor in my company, so I have limited access here, and I just take care of the reporting views and displays. I have no rights to entry or other posting-related functions. I can just talk about the reporting experience associated with the tool. I do internal audits in my company. On a daily basis, I have to extract many reports, like general ledgers, procurement-related registers, invoices reports, sales reports, receivable reports, and accounts receivable aging reports. During my review of the reports mentioned above, I found Oracle E-Business Suite very good. I have already used SAP Business One software. Compared to SAP Business One software, Oracle E-Business Suite's reporting is very wide and clear.

We also have users who build and customize reports for board members, senior management, or auditors. We plan to adapt Oracle EBS to integrate with our CRM, HR, and other applications. It provides financial insights and covers payroll, so it needs to be combined with the project portfolio management solution or the CRM. We have many changes ready for when we go live with the CRM.

I use this solution for human capital management. It's all been mingled into one product called Oracle HCM Cloud. It manages all your HR requirements from hiring, onboarding, and managing your payrolls. It has over 10 different models inside. Oracle expects clients to have that product, which is the basis for your financials, sales and distribution, procurement, etc. If you have HCM, you basically set up the structure of the enterprise. Most of their applications have been moved to cloud enterprise. It's SaaS, and they have a patch where they provide the database and application so you can work on it. There's another one where they provide everything and you have your own infrastructure of hardware as well.
We are using Oracle E-Business Suite for the financial modules in our supply chain, but the main service for the Oracle E-Business for our company is manufacturing.

We use this product for the management of purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and other things. TheyHyperion software is good for management as well as processes such as accounts receivable. The product has many use cases. I'm an applications consultant and we are service providers and Oracle customers.
I implement the solution for customers in Saudi Arabia who prefer on-premises solutions. E-Business Suite is an on-premises solution but you have the option to deploy its infrastructure as a service. For example, we have already implemented Amazon, Google, and Oracle on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. With the infrastructure, you don't need to have your own data center but you need to have ownership of your database and more. You have options with the solution. You can install it on-premises, host it elsewhere, or place it in a cloud solution like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a service.
Most companies use Oracle E-Business Suite for finance and supply chain management, but we mainly use it for payroll in the current scenario. We also use it for the core HRSCM compensation benefits as part of Oracle Fusion. The company has been working with Oracle E-Business Suite for a while, but now they are gradually moving into Oracle Fusion SCM, so they have acquired some product offerings for Oracle Fusion SCM. They want to run it on Oracle SCM, but their core system is still Oracle E-Business Suite. They have adopted a different type of solution for core HR and recruitment. We use another organizational tool for the recruitment part, so we have to build code systems to integrate Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion. That's another general use case for Oracle E-Business Suite, but it varies among organizations. If they want to run HR and finance separately, a lot of integration is necessary to get the employee details into Oracle Finance. We have to pass payroll information into the GL and finance side, so the company would prefer to keep everything in the ecosystem where payroll is happening. They generally use Oracle Finance Payroll. Core HR is part of the Oracle E-Business Suite model they have. Now, they're looking for that functionality on a different SaaS-based solution. It can be Oracle Fusion or SuccessFactors. It is a hybrid office approach because no single solution will work because of all the regulations. Some departments of a financial institution have specific policies for their data centers. They generally need to use an on-premise solution, but some want to move to the cloud environment, but there are content restrictions. They are already using the on-premise Oracle E-Business Suite solution, so we need to implement it and one other thing. That Oracle E-Business Suite has a lot of customization options that aren't possible in a SaaS-based solution. It varies from process to process and industry to industry.
Oracle E-Business Suite is used for accounting activities. Customers use the general ledger and accounts receivable functions, and those make their lives easier, especially when the solution is well taken cared of, e.g. through patching then being able to assess the system on time.

Additionally, the company purchased Oracle Purchasing for the procurement module and Inventory module. They used a separate solution called Oracle Hyperion.
Oracle E-Business Suite is being used in the manufacturing industry. The solution has been good in the planning that can help financial stability. It is a good product to go ahead with.

Oracle E-Business Suite is a corporate business product. It has financial, logistics, HR modules, et cetera. It contains lots of modules. Thanks to this, our clients can track all of their business needs with one platform. They can also design their own business needs using this product. Within our organization, we also use Oracle E-Business Suite. However, we are only using a small part of it, mainly for financial purposes. We don't have any logistics issues. One of the best use cases is centralizing supplier and customer data into our finance system. We identified that there were many duplicate suppliers and customers and so a lot of time was spent reporting. When the tsunami happened in 2009, our top management asked us how many suppliers were impacted in that particular area and how it would impact our supply chain cycle. When we tried to answer this question we thought that it would take one or two weeks, but it took our entire team three to four months to identify how many suppliers were impacted. That showed how important it is to remove the master data from our financial system and start maintaining it separately.
The business case around using the different Oracle products in this category generally comes down to the discussion regarding migration to the cloud. Specifically, Fusion would be migrating away from an on-premise-heavy environment to a subscription cloud environment. People are generally not looking at E-Business at the moment because of the push to the cloud. In certain countries where there are public sector rules regarding data sovereignty and data storage, they would look at E-Business as their solution because it can base critical data on-premises. From my vantage, everybody is moving to Fusion or should have moved to Fusion, but the fact is that some people still can not. Those who can not will use E-Business.
We have been using this as an enterprise solution for many things including for financials, for supply chain, for sales, for maintenance, for manufacturing, et cetera. You name it. It helps us with many business processes.

Based on my technical background on Oracle EBS, I can tell that the primary use case of this solution is having a sophisticated software, an ERP, in the environment. It is to have a software system that consists of global business applications with built-in integrity. Generally, my customers use it for their business applications: CRM, Financials, Human Capital Management, Procurement, Supply Chain and more. There are also some seperate applications outside these ERP systems, but mostly, they are also tightly integrated with EBS.

Process costing.
Management of supply chain in the petroleum industry: from requesting quotes from suppliers to issuing LPO, managing credit; and selling in cash, credit, and discounts.
The primary use case for this solution is for Governmental Fiscal Management Information Systems (GFMIS). This is a complete solution to manage the whole country Financial System.
