I use the solution in my company for any customization that needs to be done. If something is not available out of the box, assuming that sometimes one may need to do some customization, it can be done easily with SailPoint IdentityIQ.
We use the solution to certify account access. SailPoint is handling compliance for account certification. They have certifications assigned to owners. Different appliances like Windows and Unix assign these certifications. They need to initiate certification every six months for Windows and Linux to ensure they have certified those accounts on the operating systems. Then, they will authenticate with the account owner. The account owner will then perform the initial check to determine if they should keep those accounts within the organization. Afterward, they will complete their subscription and return to their direct manager for position verification. If there are no errors or discrepancies in their source certification, the manager will sign off, and the entire association will be closed. Then, the observation owner will generate the report. This report serves as evidence for internal auditors to prove they completed the certification. It's like a search engine flow.
The use case involved architecting solutions for LogLabs and Scotiabank, focusing on two main user groups: Identity and Access Management users utilizing various heterogeneous IEM platforms like Broadcom, and Active Directory users. The challenge revolved around implementing attestation and governance certification processes, requiring integration for both groups. Specifically, integrating with third-party systems for users on non-AD platforms and with AD for those utilizing it. The primary objective was to leverage IdentityIQ for identity governance and compliance within the organization. With over two hundred thousand IdentityIQ instances in use and a continual influx, the focus was on streamlining identity governance processes, particularly for onboarding, offboarding, and conducting periodic attestations.

We use SailPoint IdentityIQ mainly for employees. It's not a customer identity and access management tool. It's mainly for the workforce. All my clients choose SailPoint IdentityIQ because they need some tool that will govern and do the compliance at their end. We are mainly integrating all the applications for the organization, just like their HR, to do the governance in just one place, namely in SailPoint IdentityIQ. We're using SailPoint IdentityIQ for provisioning, granting access, taking access, automatic onboarding, and off-boarding. We also use SailPoint IdentityIQ for employees' joiner, mover, and leaver workflow. We use SailPoint IdentityIQ for automatically reprovisioning all the roles and accesses.

It is used on provisioning accounts, all the crude operations and enterprise resources. So an enterprise may have a different resource like SuccessFactor, Oracle or Microsoft. SailPoint IdentityIQ does the provisioning operation for all the users, which onboards it into the company enterprise. It also does the de-provisioning operations for all the users who leave the organization. In between, it manages and maintains the accounts. Depending on the requirements, SailPoint IIQ provides a lot of functionality that can suit any enterprise's requirements.

We use this solution for identity governance and to understand who has access to what and whether that access should be granted or not. We also use it for access to recertification automation which provides a complete report of who has what access in the organization at the press of a button. We are able to automate the entire process of joiners, movers, levers and the provisioning and deprovisioning of identities. When someone joins any organization, all their roles and access is provided at the click of a button. When they move from one department to the other, the accesses which are not required are revoked, and the ones which are necessary are provisioned. Sailpoint offers complete automation of the lifecycle of any user. We are able to offer on-prem on cloud based deployments, depending on our customer's requirements.
We have different use cases depending on the project. For example, we use it for user management, account management, user lifecycle, certifications, reporting, SODs, and governance. We use everything that SailPoint IdentityIQ provides.

We used it to manage our complete lifecycle completely. We migrated from CA Integrated Manager to SailPoint in my previous firm. Typical use cases include onboarding contractors, lifecycle management, and employee lifecycle management for user certification. Other use cases include password reset and any application group-level provisioning.
We have made use of versions six, seven and eight and are currently using 8.2, the latest. We use the solution to create connectors, such as those involving Active Directory and GDVC for Oracle. We implement the solution towards this end.
The solution is primarily used for governance. Clients also use it for single sign-on, to consolidate the access for B2C or B2B cases. Those are the main use cases that we've seen.
