Since Aruba Remote Access Points is an on-premises tool, my company must deploy the VPN gateway everywhere. It would have been helpful to manage multiple gateways on the solution if Aruba Remote Access Points introduced a cloud or SaaS-based version. The solution's AI capabilities need improvement since many manual things are involved presently. Automation in the solution can happen with more AI capabilities. The solution's technical support has some shortcomings that need improvement.
There are some issues, like the VLAN capabilities and support for routing between two VMs. These require Layer 3 switching, which Aruba partially covers but not a hundred percent. It can be frustrating for someone who knows about the product and want to implement specific features that are not fully supported by the current software.

The remote access point coverage should be bigger than it is now. The speed of the express network should be higher than now. These days, the 5G network is very fast. If they don't improve their network speed, then they will fade away, fade out. We’d like them to add 5G functionality as soon as possible.

Our difficulty with Aruba is that the product and the license are two different items. So, if we are adding an access point, we have to pay for two items. We have to pay to add the access point in the controller and we have to pay for the license.
It would help if the remote APs had some kind of SoHo environment with built-in firewall features. That way it could connect directly in a client-to-site type of environment, or a site-to-site VPN environment. That way users could have a complete office setup without coming to the private cloud. It could connect to the central site directly from the internet and get logged on to the controller. I would also like to see a more open security consolidation. And the monitoring part should be in a single controller.
emote APs connect to a controllerusing Extended Authentication and Internet Protocol Security (XAuth/IPSec). AP control and 802.11 data traffic are carried through this tunnel. Secure Remote Access Point Service extends the corporate office to the remote site. Remote users can use the same features as corporate office users. For example, voice over IP (VoIP) applications can be extended to remote sites while the servers and the PBX remain secure in the corporate office.

There is room for improvement in terms of pricing. If they can be more competitive.
It could have better monitoring features. Not all features are available on the monitoring dashboard.
