The pricing could be better. In many cases, our customers are thinking of migrating to other products in the market, like F5 BIG-IP. In many cases, companies are looking to migrate their entire solution to another vendor like Microsoft or VMware, including the Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler) component. In many cases, you have to do several things manually. It's the only way to do several configurations. I think a good point is to have a better console. It needs to improve the capabilities of AI.
There could be a faster connection, increased user-friendliness, and users connection/sign-in history. Although it is easy to use, it could benefit from being more intuitive. I would appreciate a more user-friendly installation process and the inclusion of helpful tips for first-time users.

The support provided is not satisfactory. Compared to other products, the WAF part is costly. There is no innovation in WAF. The solution lacks maturity. They should enhance their cloud capabilities, LB, and develop a more efficient cloud-based WAF.
The common issue that we face is the desktop environment we are giving to the users. For some reason, it fails. We have to reset it and remake it, through the management interface. When it comes to the VDA environment, making it additionally stable is important.

Sometimes the input-output has issues. Maybe it's not as seamless when you plug in audio. It takes some time to reflect that into Citrix and basically to allow Citrix to use those audiences and put out devices.

As Citrix Gateway is a third party solution, we wish to have one which is more integrated and involves less administration. We want one which would allow access with a single click and only require RDP and the clicking of a single icon.
Citrix Gateway has a lot of limitations, cloud limitations as a starting point. Microsoft should combine together and solve those problems. I can't go more than three GBDs whereas on AWS I can go to five GBD and get throughput. Here I'm not able to get into throughput, so I have to deploy multiple gateways to get to throughput and that's a bigger problem.

We are currently looking at automation. It would be good if there is some way to automate it in a fast way. It should be easy to automate. It also has some security issues.

The price could be reduced because it is slightly more costly than others available in the market. Technical support could be improved. They could do something more with the dashboard.
It's extremely complicated and it's not intuitive. The solution requires a lot of training to get going on it. I'm not sure that that's necessarily a critique on it. It may be more of a critique on me and my abilities with it, however, it isn't necessarily straightforward. It could stand for some improvement in that sense. If there were wizards for standard deployments, that might be nice. If there were prompts for situations like trying to deploy one virtual server behind one virtual storefront where the how-to was explained, that would be great. Other than that, you have to get really deep in the gears and figure out which gear you need to move and what lever you've got to pull. It's complex.
The solution is already very feature rich, but there are also points for improvement. Fortunatelly, at least so far and with the projects we've been involved, Citrix Support and engineering teams are very responsive and very willing to align with customer specific requests to develop new functionality and enrich the solution. For the next releases, i'm expecting (even) more focus on visibility and analytics.

The two-factor authentication solution needs improvement. It needs a multi-factor authentification. Training videos would be helpful, and they're transitioning to a new portal, as far as I know. So the portal maybe has now improvements and they will provide for a larger community for the users and retailers. This will provide a more improved solution. A forward proxy in the next release would be good, I think. If the solution had a more advanced DNS, it would be an improvement.

Citrix NetScaler is something that connects the deployment. To improve: * The interface should be more user-friendly. * Integration with other applications must improve. * They should provide training videos. * The product needs to have a good dashboard. It's too early to say how the product can improve because I just implemented it. The dashboard or interface should be more clear in reporting issues. Integration with other applications should be more user-friendly.
The load balancing could be improved. Also, remote users should be able to carry connections to our centralized server and access applications remotely.
Citrix Gateway is a customer-managed solution that can be deployed on premises or on any public cloud, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Citrix Gateway provides users with secure access and single sign-on to all the virtual, SaaS and web applications they need to be productive.

The initial setup could be made easier.
The initial connection could be faster. That handshake takes a few seconds sometimes. That could be better and improved upon.
The support provided is not satisfactory. Compared to other products, the WAF part is costly. There is no innovation in WAF. The solution lacks maturity. They should enhance their cloud capabilities, LB, and develop a more efficient cloud-based WAF.
The product should be more secure. It could provide engineers with more logs.
The solution could always be cheaper. It would be nice if they offered easier setups and implementation wizards.
I'd like to be able to access Citrix Gateway through a mobile device.

We have experienced issues relating to multi-factor authentication.

I would like to see improved logging because it doesn't keep much information for the session monitoring or historical sessions.
Areas that should be improved are the configuration of profiles and uploading and downloading of our certificates.
Cost. Citrix costs more and you still need to have Microsoft Remote Desktop below it.
The solution can be a bit pricey.
The VPN needs to be improved. In comparison to Cisco, the solution doesn't have as many features. Technical support needs improvement.
