I am a hybrid cloud consultant and developer acting as a primary service provider at my organization and I handle multiple integration configurations between all our VMware products, including vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, and Tanzu.
As VMware partners, we are capable of deploying Tanzu Observability anywhere with vSphere, including on-premises and cloud deployments, and we can integrate it with an MSSP. We also install and use HAProxy, then integrate with the VM Orchestrator. For our clients, we release the automation and provide services such as creating the control plane with multiple nodes. We currently have multiple installations based on this type of environment.
Tanzu enhances any container platform that we use such as Kubernetes but it is also integrated with multiple other container solutions.
Tanzu itself, integrated with multiple solutions, bestows support and security upon a container platform, especially when it comes to managing open-source container platforms such as Kubernetes.
As a separate operating system, it lets you easily add packages for these aspects of container management (e.g. for updating and automation of SaaS apps, in addition to increasing security and support), and with Tanzu you can integrate with an MSSP to provide even more security without using a proxy.
