Low resource consumption, easy setup, and stable
To determine whether a platform, such as Appian, is suitable for your domain industry, you must first assess whether it offers any out-of-the-box features relevant to your needs. If it does, utilizing that platform would be the best option since it already has the required functionalities. If the available features do not align with your requirements, consider choosing a platform that can easily build such services. Attempting to modify pre-existing features on a platform is a challenging task, and any upgrades to the platform could pose further issues for users. The solution has high performance but the main issue is the lack of customization after deploying it. I rate Appian an eight out of ten.

Customizable, easy to use, and has good built-in dashboards
The tool is available on the cloud as well as on-premise. The ease of setup depends on the complexity of the project. In most cases, we just connect and work. We must create our own team and find a partner to build our own application. If we need to create something new, it will take time. I rate the ease of setup of the cloud version a ten out of ten. However, I would rate the ease of setup of the on-premise version a five or six out of ten. The on-premise version takes longer to deploy. The cloud version can be deployed within minutes. We receive a license key and start working. If all the components are ready, we can deploy the on-premise version within ten days.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Call Web Service Smart Service - Web service integrations with other systems are super simple and fast to create, supported by low code menus."
"It has good integrations. We were looking for out-of-the-box integration with both on-prem and publicly accessible data sources. We needed integration with the cloud, OData, our REST API feed, and then on-prem passthrough to go to a SQL database or on-prem APIs through Azure local deployment, etc."
"The solution has a lot of strong features for the financial industry, it is very easy to use."
"The application life cycle is very clear. I started learning it and giving some workshops to my team. Creating the users and the building is very structured. Documentation is nice and it's easy to learn."
"Appian helps you do a lot of things. It's easy to configure and build an application platform, and it offers a lot of features that you find in an RPA solution. It's flexible so you can reuse it for a variety of use cases."
"The initial setup was seamless. We didn't run into any hardships at all."
"Even with an on-premise implementation, the scalability is still high, so it is easy to scale up."
"It has very flexible adaptation and the ability to save and automate processes."
"The low-code tools and business process management that Creatio provides are useful for our internal processes. It is also very easy to use."
"It enables automating tasks and provides self-service options, ultimately improving efficiency and customer satisfaction."
"The pre-configured CRM functionalities regarding the accounts management and contact activities is very good. It's easy to develop workflows."
"Studio Creatio is a very good and complete solution. It is very stable, and for customers who need a good response time, in the public cloud, Creatio provides the possibility to have a private server for a high level of transactions and good response time. Their support is great. They are very good, and they know the solution very well. Their response time is also great."
"The business process management is definitely the most valuable feature. What Creatio ended up doing with their software solution is giving you the power, in your own hands, in a way that is incredibly intuitive and well-structured."
"The most valuable features of the solution are its CRM functionality and the fact that it is a no-code solution"
"It is a low-code platform, that is very intuitive."
"Creatio also provides us with scalability, performance and agility."

Cons

"Offline capabilities and responsive capabilities could be better. The mobility features of Appian platform are still evolving."
"If that had more DevOps capabilities, it would be an excellent product."
"Something I would like to see improved is an SQL database connection."
"If we could calculate the amount of data that will be realized, it would help us a lot."
"The ability of the interface to load automatic data is not great."
"I would like to see more complete university tools. For example, with UiPath, I have had a good experience related to a free course in order to provide some users some different levels of knowledge. This extra training helps users not only use the solution but to develop further within the tool."
"It would be useful if they could create an academy or forum in the future to help active users answer questions they have about the solution."
"The documentation needs to be improved."
"The solution does not allow extensive customization of the UI. I would like to have much more control over the UI when I build a process. Currently on the UI where the fields are placed and the layout is set in place and you cannot change it. Your experience is going to be the same throughout whatever use case that you are building from customer to customer. You can not have much control over how it looks for each customer. This is an area where they can improve on."
"The way bpm's infrastructure works, you can only have one data source on a page. It has to be connected to the object and you're pretty much locked in at that point... If you want to connect anything other than what exists in that object to that object, you're going to have to create a completely new home for it in that object."
"The mobile version of the solution could be improved. It's hard to customize it."
"Creatio needs to stabilize their marketplace."
"The documentation must be more technical."
"Studio Creatio is a new product in the market, making its lack of maturity an area of concern."
"It appears that at times, our partners might be using Google Translate, resulting in translations lacking context and not being entirely understandable."
"HRM is an area where Studio Creatio lacks and needs to improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost depends on the number of users, although I recommend taking an unlimited license."
"You can't really test the software properly without actually buying the license first."
"The license is not very cheap. It's on the expensive side."
"The price of the solution is reasonable and is paid annually. The price of the solution depends on how many users use the solution. It can range from $50,000 to $200,000. For example, for 20,000 users the price can be approximately $200,000."
"It's good value for the price."
"The cost is calculated on a per-user basis. It might be expensive for small and mid-sized enterprises."
"The licensing will be on a monthly basis. We are estimating that cost to be around $2000 to maybe $3,000 per month. We don't foresee any costs above that."
"The license is a bit expensive and the pricing model is sometimes confusing for new users or business users. It is difficult for them to know what volume of usage they will have to be able to purchase the best-suited license at the beginning."
"I rate the pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive."
"It is fairly competitive."
"From my standpoint, it blows out of the water all the other competitors out there that we were potentially looking at, and it was in a reasonable price range, whereas you have these other Fortune 500 companies that were asking for a ridiculous amount."
"The tool is reasonably priced."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"I rate the product price a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The pricing plans are not user-friendly because in many cases you have to buy different options to get additional features."
