Offers multi-tenancy feature and interface is very refined, works fine, and is very intuitive but rocky implementation process
Many features that Arcserve proposes in its documentation and marketing material actually don't work properly in practice. Veeam is the most comparable solution, considering features and capacities. They are very similar, but Veeam works fine most of the time. With Arcserve, we have a lot of problems in implementing and getting compatibility, especially with legacy systems. We also have mysterious problems that no one can solve. The performance is not as planned or as intended. Our experience has been shaky. It's not very reliable as a tool, especially in critical cases like disaster recovery. Reliability is not Arcserve's greatest strength – implementation is rocky, and sizings never work as planned. Plus, their cloud service is very slow and relatively expensive compared to Veeam.

Double-Take has the advantage in its support for HP-UX. We feel that Arcserve UDP has the easier process when it comes to "fail-back" to the new Production environment. When you do your POC, be sure to ...
