Proactive alert management enhances network security and provides peace of mind
The reporting is really good from what I've seen so far. They are on top of the alerts, especially the critical ones. This proactive approach to alert management ensures that if someone downloads something on a workstation that shouldn't be downloaded, they address it quickly. Their ability to identify and provide information on critical alerts is very valuable.

Improved asset visibility has strengthened risk-based prioritization and accelerated incident response
Some of the best features I find valuable in Armis include Agentless Asset Discovery, which is a very strong capability that does not require any agent but can discover all assets that are part of our systems or the CMDB. Real-time asset visibility allows us to perform asset monitoring and provides complete visibility of IT, OT, IoT, and cloud-connected assets. Behavioral monitoring and threat detection is very useful for monitoring device behavior and communication patterns, helping the SOC team with threat hunting activities. Additionally, vulnerability prioritization focuses not only on CVSS scores but also on exploitability, which is very impactful during vulnerability management. Armis performs very well in deep-diving into OT and IoT environments, providing detailed visibility into industrial and connected devices that are usually difficult to monitor with standard endpoint tools. The product can also be integrated with any security monitoring tools such as SIEM, SOAR, NAC, firewalls, and CMDB integrating platforms, which is helpful. Armis has a positive impact by improving enterprise-wide asset visibility, strengthening risk awareness, and helping the security operations team reduce blind spots. Key features include improved asset inventory accuracy, better risk prioritization which is very impactful during security operations and vulnerability management, enhanced security monitoring providing continuous improved visibility into suspicious and unusual device activity, and stronger IoT and OT visibility ensuring proper visibility between IoT and SC devices. Faster incident investigation is facilitated by providing all risk metrics and exploitability information, which makes it easier for the incident management team to prioritize threats and work on them accordingly. In the incident response scenario, the incident response time has been reduced significantly because we have incident response plans available, but identifying which issue should be prioritized first takes considerable time. Armis helps to prioritize incidents and threats, allowing us to provide P1 priority incidents to the incident response team, which is very impactful. Detection takes substantial time, but with Armis helping detection through proper classification, it reduces time considerably, so we now focus solely on incident response to mitigate threats as soon as possible, which is very impactful.

Pros

"I appreciate the professionalism of the tool and have faith in the results it delivers."
"The customer support is incredible."
"The reporting is really good from what I've seen so far."
"The most valuable feature of Arctic Wolf Managed Risk is being informed about what vulnerabilities there are exposed currently."
"We have a patch management solution that scans for any patches that can be applied and then applies these patches, but it doesn't hit everything. It also doesn't find all misconfigurations and things like that. Arctic Wolf Managed Risk kind of fills in the gaps and makes us aware of vulnerabilities or misconfigurations that exist out there. It does an agent scan for software versions and compares them to what CVs are out there and lets us know."
"I appreciate the professionalism of the tool and have faith in the results it delivers."
"This solution has made huge strides in improving the awareness of our end users."
"There are companies that do vulnerability scans. However, what adds value is when two experts come and sit with you to scan and patch the vulnerabilities. Any 50-member or small company that has an IT footprint carries risk from a cybersecurity perspective. These companies use tools but don't have the talent to leverage them."
"The technology is good."
"The tool is user-friendly and helps to detect vulnerabilities."
"Real-time asset monitoring in Armis helps with network operations, especially in comparison to Nozomi."
"Armis saves time by automating asset inventory management, allowing enterprises to quickly strategize by understanding their assets and exposures."
"Armis has a positive impact by improving enterprise-wide asset visibility, strengthening risk awareness, and helping the security operations team reduce blind spots."
"I find the most valuable features of Armis to be its focus on IT, OT security, and medical device security."
"Armis has positively impacted my organization and my client's organization by ensuring that on day one, new users had all the access they needed to work for the applications that were integrated."
"Armis is very easy to implement due to its agentless design and offers a granular level of visibility for all assets in the network."

Cons

"Arctic Wolf Managed Risk needs to add more integrations."
"It could be easier to use. They could present things in a little bit more ranked order rather than kind of giving you everything out there."
"The best way to take this product to the next level would be to implement a patch management solution."
"The scalability could improve."
"There are some challenges with integrations in Arctic Wolf Managed Risk. Some integrations could be improved to enhance functionality."
"As far as the product is concerned, I would really like the scanning feature to let us know that a threat has been addressed once we apply the relevant patch. We are not seeing this currently when running a scan."
"The presentation of the data could be improved."
"The major area for improvement is the lack of a patch management feature to resolve some of the vulnerabilities detected."
"The solution's vulnerability testing could be improved."
"After implementing Armis, an organization experiences it as an add-on. Without asset visibility or vulnerability prioritization, it becomes a useless product."
"In terms of stability, Armis is not completely stable, as sometimes incidents may occur."
"Armis doesn't have a back intel feature."
"Like any IT tool, continuous learning and improvement are essential for the solution."
"The vulnerability assessment for Windows is not that great. It misses out on a lot of vulnerabilities."
"The OpenText solution we used had to improve its development in relation to cloud environments. They have started to offer a version that works on the cloud, but they are really behind in that aspect today."
"There isn't anything specific that needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It depends on the company size quite a bit."
"Arctic Wolf Managed Risk is reasonably priced and I rate it a four out of ten."
"The price of Arctic Wolf Managed Risk is reasonable compared to the competition."
"The tool is cheap."
