Offers good performance, good solution and smooth implementation
I do have a suggestion: it would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network. If there are access points from other brands installed nearby; they can cause interference and disrupt the range of our Mist access points. So, the security features could be stronger, especially in terms of authentication. The connectivity is excellent, but security needs improvement. In future releases, integrating more AI features would be beneficial. If Mist had stronger AI features, it could provide better security against network threats and cyberattacks. So, this solution still needs to improve its AI capabilities. It would be great if the AI could improve the range of the access points, and auto-protect functionality should be there to avoid interference by other nearby access points and enhance threat detection. In the future, I'd like to see stronger threat detection features integrated with Mist, as well as better detection of nearby access points that might cause interference.

A stable solution that gives wireless network coverage to users without connecting PCs or laptops to the network
We use Aruba Wireless to give wireless network coverage to users without any requirement of connecting PCs or laptops to the network The most valuable feature of Aruba Wireless is multi-tenancy. You can have a multi-tenancy setup with the same setup, and the same access points can be used for…

Strong outdoor coverage and reasonable pricing with room for better technical support
We install a public Wi-Fi system. The transport network is one hundred percent optical fiber from our collection switch to the street, the university, or any enterprise. After the optical fiber, we have the site, and we make the connection between the optical fiber and the electricity for the…

"The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done."
"Mist AI is a very powerful feature. Juniper is the only company that has introduced AI into networking."
"When support is needed, the Aruba engineers are normally quick to respond to problems."
"The product has been pretty stable...The product is scalable."
"The initial setup is straightforward. Configure one IAP and all the rest self-configure to that one."
"The most valuable feature in this product would be the stability. You build it, install it, and it’s good to go, with no further tweaks needed unless adding or replacing APs."
"Aruba Central is a valuable feature because I can monitor access points remotely, even if I'm not in the office."
"It provides excellent performance and security through the use of available features and policies, reducing the reliance on external firewall configurations while ensuring a secure and reliable network environment."
"The coverage, concurrent user life, and visualization are the most valuable features of these solutions."
"Aruba allowed for the detailed control and management of an entire WiFi network from a single screen backed by a support team with local SEs who work with business partners to ensure the product's success."
"They all have controllers built in, and we manage them all with a web-based management tool."
"The cloud-based management provided by Cambium Networks is particularly valuable to us, as it allows us to efficiently manage Wi-Fi, point-to-point connections, firewalls, and switches across various locations from a centralized platform. "What I like best about Cambium Networks Wireless LAN is that it's easy to configure, has no licensing hassle, and is a controller-based solution."
"It offers features that are essential for an efficient and high-performance wireless LAN deployment, where capacity, coverage, and quality are optimized, and frequency bands are selected based on the specific needs of the network."
"The web-based administration is what I find most beneficial."
"This solution is extremely user-friendly; it is very easy to configure and work with."
"The product's initial setup phase is very simple and involves just a PnP process."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in terms of support and installation."
"The pricing should be made cheaper."
"Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release."
"It would be helpful to have even stronger security features to help protect against interference from other nearby access points that aren't part of our network."
"Juniper Wireless AP can improve by continually improving its reporting and integration with other systems."
"The pricing is very high in the Indian market."
"The price could be better."
"They should include SD-WAN features to it."
"MAC authentication against an external Radius server while using 802.1X. This feature will help the L2 devices to authenticate via external Radius servers."
"To enhance the system, more work on integration would be beneficial."
"The Help option within the GUI needs to be improved."
"Aruba is missing some features that are available in other solutions, such as the email notifications. It's a bit complex to configure the notification part. Mainly I'm talking about the rogue WiFi detection. This email notification is crucial for us, but it isn't possible to configure with the built-in software. You need something else, like an external system log collector or another Aruba software. These notifications are essential in hospitality for PCI compliance. My colleagues in famous luxury hotel chains need that report."
"For a more senior tool, a local application monitoring related to IoT vendors would be useful."
"Sometimes the configuration is difficult."
"Aruba doesn't match some competitors in wireless signal strength. It isn't in the same class as Cisco Meraki, so I would use Cisco Meraki in situations where I need to cover a large open space. Meraki has more powerful signals going out."
"The reliability could be improved."
"The direct technical support from Cambium teams needs to be improved."
"The product pricing needs improvement."
"If they could include some sort of web filtering, in-built antivirus, anti-malware, and data stream scanning in the next release."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN should improve its pricing."
"There is room for improvement in the pricing model."
"Not a lot of technical engineers are familiar with Cambium Networks Wireless LAN. They are familiar with implementing and using other solutions such as Aruba. Therefore, Cambium Networks needs to be more visible in the marketplace."
"The problem with the tool is that its prices are on the higher end."
"I believe there's room for improvement in the configuration options for point-to-point setups directly from the cloud management interface. Currently, the process feels a bit clunky—you monitor the unit in the cloud but need to make configuration changes by editing a text file, then downloading it back to the unit. This method can be error-prone, as even a small mistake in the text file could disrupt the unit's configuration."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product price as a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is inexpensive, and ten is expensive. It is a reasonably priced tool."
"The pricing is too high."
"Juniper Wireless AP's price is a little more expensive than other solutions, but you get what you pay for."
"If a customer has a budget of around five lakhs in Indian currency, they can afford Juniper products."
"The solution is expensive."
"We pay maybe 1000 SEK per year, per access point."
"I rate Juniper Mist's pricing a ten out of ten since it is expensive."
"The pricing is fair."
"There is so much licensing, you literally pay for every solution, add-on, or cool feature. Compared to others, we were in the middle with pricing, but as you start to invest more into features it will get very pricey."
"In terms of pricing, the pricing for Aruba Wireless is not bad for large-sized companies, but for medium-sized companies, it's on the higher end, but because Aruba has a good company image, medium-sized companies still go with Aruba Wireless."
"Licensing is a one time purchase (only the cloud license has to be renewed, which is worth trying out)."
"I am aiding in transitioning my organization to a different wireless solution due to the cost. We need to expand our network and the cost of new APs and an upgraded controller have proved to be prohibitive compared to similar solutions on the market."
"Besides paying for the APs, you need to pay a license each year for their use. Therefore, watch out for that and do the best you can to keep costs down."
"Aruba Wireless is the best for the price. Aruba Wireless is the least expensive, the second is Huawei, and the most expensive is Cisco."
"The price of Aruba Wireless could improve. It is expensive. However, I am able to reduce my costs because I do not use all the features in the controller, such as the AD integration and other enterprise features."
"It comes with a relatively higher price tag, but it's essential to assess the value it brings to the market because it actively competes with other players in the industry and dedicates efforts to offer competitive devices."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN has a moderate pricing."
"I rate the product's pricing an eight out of ten."
"It's a good price, but not the best price. It's on the higher end of what I would call affordable for small to medium-sized businesses."
"Cambium Networks Wireless LAN is cheaper than Aruba."
"I would place it in the mid-range market segment, balancing affordability and profitability."
"The pricing for Cambium Networks Wireless LAN is much cheaper than Meraki. For example, I have to pay $200 for one AP from Cambium, while for a Meraki AP, I have to pay $450 including the user license. Meraki has a higher price over Cambium Networks Wireless LAN."
"In general, the way we purchased it was we purchased it at the beginning, was with five years of support, once our initial cost was met, we didn't have to pay for anything else."
"If one is a high price and ten is a low price, I rate the product price as one."
