Room For Improvement

Fortra's Automate needs improvements in integration, UI, OCR for Hebrew, password management, error handling, and community support.
Users suggest improvements for Automation Anywhere in Excel, integration, OCR, user interface, AI, support, and training resources.
WorkFusion needs better ERP integration, user interface, AI features, and support for mid-sized businesses with simplified processes.
I find that most important features are strong, however, there is a lack of good development for artificial intelligence, such as machine learning.
It is better to write a Python script instead of using Automation Anywhere's package when dealing with Excel because it is buggy and tends to break.
Making the product more lightweight by reducing its dependency on infrastructure could greatly help in the long run.
When I use a multi-structure with conditions to switch from one bot to another, successful debugging of the entire process is not feasible.

Setup Cost

Fortra's Automate provides cost-effective per-bot pricing, offering flexibility and value, especially favorable for large-scale enterprises.
Automation Anywhere's pricing is higher than competitors, but enterprise features and flexible options can make it competitive.
Enterprise buyers find WorkFusion's pricing flexible and negotiable, though initial costs can be high compared to alternatives.
Competitors are often more expensive than Automate.
It is more cost-efficient compared to all other RPA platforms.
Automation Anywhere costs are aligned with UiPath and Blue Prism, which are also expensive.
This means an initial investment may not yield returns for a year, which is often not feasible due to budget constraints.

Valuable Features

Fortra's Automate provides user-friendly automation with robust features, making it ideal for diverse business applications and seamless integration.
Automation Anywhere offers user-friendly automation with cognitive features, centralized management, and standout document processing for business efficiency.
WorkFusion excels with its user-friendly tools, AI-driven automation, machine learning for document processing, and seamless integration capabilities.
Automate's non-reliance on additional orchestrators makes it quite cost-effective.
I can set it up to provide users with a form to fill in all required information, and then the bot operates based on those specifications.
For example, the email module has been enhanced over the years to support all the latest authentication technologies. That is very important as we move away from username and password and embrace multi-factor authentication.
Automation Anywhere has a drag-and-drop feature eliminating the need for extensive coding.

Automates processes efficiently with cost-effective scaling and robust customer support
Web scraping is quite good since it offers a lot of possibilities. Another important feature for me is its compatibility with MBI, the Power that is ISEQUADO Centers. I appreciate the ability to scale and increase the number of bots or studios without additional expense. Automate's non-reliance on additional orchestrators makes it quite cost-effective.

Improves efficiency with impressive integration and automation capabilities
The way it integrates with subsystems is impressive. When automating business processes, there might be multiple systems in use. Automation Anywhere provides various ways to connect, such as by directly using backend APIs or using the frontend. This is incredibly useful. They are constantly enhancing its capabilities. They have already included support for GenAI, enabling easy LLM training. You can train LLMs without putting in a lot of effort. You can train a model very easily. If you do the same thing manually from scratch, it will take a lot of time and you also cannot be sure of the accuracy. They are enhancing their capabilities in the field of AI to provide efficiency and accuracy. It is a low-code/no-code platform. If you have a little bit of technical knowledge, you can easily design a bot. It is a basic part of software development. It is easier if you are aware of a few things such as writing up a logic, loop conditions, etc. Someone having the basic knowledge can easily adapt to this tool. It is quite simple and straightforward with drag-and-drop actions. It also provides information about a particular package or action you are going to use in your automation. If you are not familiar with the technology, you can explore Automation Anywhere University where they provide training. For anyone eager to start with it, it is quite easy.
Shamus Cardon - PeerSpot reviewer
It has improved our accuracy since we are eliminating the human error element. There could be better version control through their web platform.
We only have our engineering team writing code and developing business processes since it is very technical. In terms of data extraction and training the ML models, we deployed that to our accounts payable department, which has fewer technical users than our engineering team. After a handful of training sessions, they were able to get in there and use it with decent accuracy. It could be better, but it is definitely better than nothing. One of the big upgrades that I know is happening in version 10 is an improvement to their tagging interface. That is definitely something that I am excited about to sort of reinvigorate our more non-technical users in information extraction from our documents. There could be better version control through their web platform. That is something that could be improved on. Integration from the IDE, e.g., from WorkFusion Studio directly into Control Tower, would be nice to have too.
