Easy to use, robust and fast checkout capabilities, and offers a wholesale interface for B2B customers
There is very little that needs to be improved, as BigCommerce is very proactive and is continuously releasing new updates. They are very effective at modernizing their product, but since no product is perfect and can always improve, a few things that I think BigCommerce could do better is to create a better reporting module for merchants. There are apps available that help with this in their app store, but it would be nice to have this built-in for things such as running reports for sales tax reporting. The theme editor that was recently added is wonderful, but it not totally intuitive.

A scalable tool that can be integrated with any platform
The product's setup is not a big issue. I would rate the product's setup an eight out of ten. The time taken for deployment depends from project to project. I have worked on projects which completed deployment in three to six months and others where the process took a year to complete. We follow the agile methodology for the tool's deployment. We conduct the unit testing, and IT testing and then release the solution to our platform. You need a 25-30 member team to manage the deployment process which can include business analysts, project managers, front-end and back-end developers, and QAs. Four to five technical staff is required for the product's maintenance. This technical staff team analyzes issues and asks the developers to fix them. The issues get fixed and implemented in the solution's next release.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"BigCommerce has an excellent B2B interface, which gives merchants the ability to sell with different price books and the ability to segment clients."
"The tool has good performance."
"Hybris Commerce's most valuable feature is the simple integration with ERP."
"The simple steps for configuring your checkout processes, as well as the promotional engine, are the most valuable features of this solution."
"If you have a client and they want to have an e-commerce project that is based on solid principles, you don't need too much time to develop it."
"We like that this solution gives our B2B clients a lot of functionality straight 'out of the box', meaning that they don't need to carry out a lot of configuration to be able to use it."
"The user interface can be customized."
"Some of the most valuable features are its personalized offering, promotion engine, and customer support module."
"The tool supports multiple currencies."

Cons

"The theme editor that was recently added is wonderful, but it not totally intuitive."
"They could include additional types of payment implementations. Right now they are just providing CyberSourse."
"SAP Commerce needs to have a credit limit like Salesforce. Currently, we have to do the coding and customization and then showcase it to the user."
"The solution is complex due to the rapid development of new features in SAP Commerce, which requires the changing of older technologies and migration to new ones."
"The learning curve is high."
"In terms of what could be improved, I would say the product search. There will be multiple criteria to search products and there will be a number of products in different categories. The question is how soon can I find the product which I'm looking for. The search can be improved."
"Like every other SAP solution, it is very heavy. Also, the transition to the cloud is not very smooth because it is not really a SaaS solution. The upgrades are also not as smooth as you would expect from a complete cloud solution. It should have a product recommendation feature as well as a promotional feature. It should also have more personalizations."
"The support team should improve the response time."
"They have just started to work with the cloud, but they only support Microsoft Azure."

WCS vs Hybris vs ATG - Feature Smackdown
They say "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", so if you are a purist in one of these technologies you would probably never agree to my comparison matrix, However these are my personal opinion, From my experience standpoint I have longest exposure to WCS Commerce Suite and the least with ATG…
