Centralized control effectively manages devices while updates require powered-on systems
I use Bitdefender GravityZone EDR for the grooming industry. It is primarily utilized for the office environment The features I find most effective for threat detection include centralized control policy distribution and the control of independent devices, such as printers, laptops, and desktops…
Sagar Shekhar - PeerSpot reviewer
An open-source tool that offers great automation capabilities
Red Canary MDR generates a lot of output, so it would be good if, in the end, it generates a summary of all the previous attacks and what was the outcome of a single attack, especially so that it becomes easy for the user to see the summary and analyze the whole thing. In general, the solution currently fails to provide a summary to its users.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature for me is the ability to whitelist, blacklist, and be very granular as to what I blocked, what apps I blocked, and what websites I block. I think that's probably the most valuable feature."
"GravityZone can be controlled from the cloud."
"I like that you can manage all the time and you can uninstall and install everything via the web console."
"It's easy to deploy."
"Sandbox Analyzer, HyperDetect, and EDR are valuable to our customers."

"It is stable."
"One of the most valuable features is the signature updating in near real-time."
"The near real-time review translates into near real-time action. So, in addition to alerting, Red Canary MDR has response playbooks built out."

"I recommended Red Canary to my friends who work in other organizations."
"The solution works well for what we use it for and the support and protection are good."
"The valuable features of this solution are it integrates well with different EDR software, such CrowdStrike, and Carbon Black, and the information it provides is helpful."

Cons

"We would like to see password management integrated into the solution because I don't like having a third-party password management system."
"The main area for improvement is the dashboard of the cloud console, where we manage security policies and groupings. It needs to be more flexible and informative."
"For many, the problems come mostly when they start tweaking or short-cutting - particularly for patch management."
"What's happening now in this field is artificial intelligence, the behavior part. That is now the trend in many products, including Bitdefender, and this is where the product needs improvement."
"I would like to see the capability for remote installation added, in particular for servers."
"The interface could be improved."
"The one thing I'd say about their complete MDR product is that it's too expensive, which is why I prefer to use an alternative SOC and integrate Bitdefender to a different SOC on their own."
"There's room for improvement in terms of protection. That's my primary concern."
"The most valuable feature of Red Canary MDR is the overall threat protection it provides."
"In general, the solution currently fails to provide a summary to its users."
"Red Canary's pricing spectrum may not be ideal for smaller financial institutions."
