Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Helps automate processes but needs to offer different licensing models to users
Right now, I am not working on process mining at the minute. Before I switched to the company, I worked extremely closely with the process mining tool from UiPath, SAP BTP, and the process mining that they had created. I am working with MuleSoft Automation and Anypoint. We are not doing any sort of process mining at the minute, but in my company, because MuleSoft is one of the only RPA tools that we are looking at, we have another application called Appian that we are trying to explore now. Appian has process mining capability, which is why we thought we would look at it along with AI capabilities.

"Using IQ Bot, we can extract more data out from the documents that are unstructured."
"TestingAnywhere is a scriptless automation tool which is easy to learn and implement, with many effective features such as creating test cases using web recording, object recording, image recognition, Smart recording, or an editor."
"V.11 has three different recorders but A2019 Automation Anywhere created an all-in-one recorder called Universal recorder which more reliable to use."
"Overall, the product is very good where the repetitive tasks are more in manufacturing industries and the finance department."
"We were able to demonstrate that this application can do wonders for the organization, help us to digitally transform the way we're working, and introduce a new way of working to any organization."
"The ability to automate repetetive tasks and processing that should not require human intervention."
"BotFarm by Automation Anywhere is great for building bots."
"Automation Anywhere has good document extraction features where it can learn patterns."
"We have automized the day-to-day work of their order management system."
"The system is stable and very little maintenance is required, assuming the bots process is perfectly designed."
"The solution is very manageable."
"Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
"Last year I faced a problem and, subsequently, raised a ticket, and the support team is great and they helped me to resolve the issue within three or four days."
"One of the most valuable features is the solution's simple automation regarding object cloning and strings variables."
"The initial setup of SAP Contextor is easy."
"SAP Contextor has improved our organization by giving us better operational efficiency."
"Contextor is a good solution for a Citrix environment. It's the first with this tool. Other tools provide the same functionality, but not with the Citrix environment."
"Scalability is fine. It is pretty nice."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The standout features of SAP Intelligent RPA are its flexibility and integration capabilities."
"The most valuable feature of SAP Contextor is that everyone is in one place in the program that I need."
"Contextor is a good solution for a Citrix environment."

Cons

"Giving access to our internal websites was not simple during the initial setup."
"IQ Bot should have an easier way to tag the document's source after extracting information from the document. (Which group does the document or a transaction belong to)."
"Having fewer connection instances would make it more secure, more simple to troubleshoot, and possibly more flexible with the type of applications in use."
"From the IQ Bot perspective, frankly speaking, they still have to improve a lot... My expectation from a straight, technical, architectural point of view was that I would be able to create my own algorithm and integrate it. But with IQ Bot, I am not able to integrate anything..."
"AI would enable improved automation and faster training times that would be reduced from one month to one week."
"The main problem that I have with Automation Anywhere is the support. When I have problems that I cannot solve by myself, it is hard to achieve a good result with support. Language is another issue."
"One of the main concerns with Automation Anywhere is the lack of a robust feature for capturing and managing information from the user interface, something competitors like Blue Prism already offer."
"It should be easier to use."
"It would be ideal if the solution offered more language options, such as Arabic."
"I have called customer service three times and the experience has not been good. They do not offer 24/7 support, which forces us to wait till the next working day to solve a problem."
"It should be easier to create an environment for bots to operate in. There should be more support for developing in environments such as Citrix and Linux."
"I would like to be able to access BotForm using a mobile app."
"The stability needs to be improved."
"The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false."
"BotFarm newer version has been difficult to install, we have been in contact with the support on this matter."
"One aspect that can be improved is the accessibility of reusable components for developers. It relates to role-based access and accessibility."
"The tool's licensing has been kind of a challenge...At the moment, the tool does not offer different licensing models to users."
"For potential features or improvements, one aspect I would suggest enhancing is the flexibility of the extraction process."
"I found that the SAP scripting of a program is easier than SAP Contextor."
"The initial setup is of medium complexity. It is neither too hard nor too simple. You need some background in SAP and an understanding of it."
"One way SAP Intelligent RPA could improve is by integrating built-in DI services for document processing."
"There should be more of an error, like a proper error feature, in future releases. Sometimes, we don't understand why that automation is not learning what, like, where it is stuck, or what is the reason like, or what is the criteria we are missing to add. So a proper error message would be helpful."
"The support is expensive."
"I would like to see a better capacity for unstructured data, for example, PDF, or text within images."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We save 34,000 hours of time per year and have recouped up to $6000 in lost revenue."
"I would rate the cost of Automation Anywhere as a six out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"If it is saving FTE and Generating a good ROI then it is Worth Investing."
"The solution is costly and the licensing is very confusing."
"There are some additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees. There are a couple of add-ons we've looked at: The IQ Bot for OCR and machine-learning were add-ons, as well as the Bot Insights - the analytics."
"Yearly, our licensing costs are about $90,000 to $100,000. There will be additional licensing costs when we add more Bot Runners to our infrastructure."
"Whatever investment, licensing, and resource costs together are put in for development and delivery, we are still at an ROI of 250 percent."
"I am not sure about the costs, but two Bot Runners and four Bot Creators may cost approximately 1CR."
"I think payment can vary but it's a re-occurring fee that needs to be paid every year."
"The starter price is free."
"Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price."
"The pricing model could be simplified."
"There is a license for this solution and it is on an annual basis. I am satisfied with the price."
"The license of this solution is on an annual basis. The price is fair. However, what we did initially was a POC, but now we are looking at moving from a POC to expanding it out further. I would appreciate some kind of discount."
"An unattended bot license costs around $5,000, whereas an attended bot license costs roughly $1,500."
"We pay approximately $15,000 USD per year."
"The initial cost might seem higher, but over time, with continued use over five or ten years, the cost tends to decrease, making it a more economical choice."
"This is not a tool or software with a license as others are. The SaaS model is based on the usage of the tool."
"It all comes with a bundle right now. Having advanced features, it is competitively priced."
"The pricing is not that expensive. It is manageable."
