Ability to segregate data, well-suited for medium enterprises and installation is quick
We have some challenges. If we look at the challenges we face in the market, there are a few products like Sophos, where there are features of MaaS360, and the IBM EDR product, ReaQta. So, there are features from both ReaQta and MaaS360 available in Sophos, as well as a few other products, which we have challenges in replacing. MaaS360 definitely caters to a few of the requirements, but when someone is going for a solution, all the features are not available in MaaS360. It is like a combo, MaaS360, and IBM ReaQta, that is, EDR, ReaQta. Both of them, together as a combo plan, actually offer a very good proposition in terms of market competitors. There are a few products like Sophos and another product which have features from both endpoint detection and response and mobile device management. Because we have two different products with those features, we face challenges in proposing a particular product for the client. It is like a marketing challenge. The way other competitor products are available in the market. So it is better to have a different positive team, but, again, to remain in competition and have better scalability. So, IBM needs to integrate a few features that the competitors have in their products. No doubt, this is a different product, MaaS360. We call it MDM. We call it endpoint mobile device management. Then we call it different names that MaaS360 falls into. But when we are talking about competitor products, to remain in the competition, you need to have features that others provide. IBM surely has those features in other products, but not in MaaS360. The only challenge was replacing already existing competitor products with MaaS360. So, that’s the only area where we struggle because they always come with those requirements that they are already getting in the competitor’s product, which is not available in IBM’s MaaS360. So this product lacks some features, like Unified Endpoint Management.

Push configuration from cloud to site and manage all these remote sites
Cisco manages company networks or remote sites. With traditional systems, you need to configure the WLC, often on-premise or on a virtual machine. Then, you deploy the access points and configure many settings through a console, pushing the configuration to each access point. If you want to integrate with Cisco CyberArk, additional configuration for the Cisco Campus is required. You can prepare your configuration, including VPN settings, in a unified interface. You can push your configuration quickly; if it doesn't work, you can easily retrieve and modify it. This streamlined process allows you to test configurations efficiently and deploy them rapidly, often within minutes. The difference between the two systems is substantial regarding configuration time, testing, and deployment. Cisco Meraki offers significant time savings and ease of use compared to traditional systems. Additionally, the budget and resource requirements for managing these two models are very different, with Cisco Meraki often being more cost-effective and simpler to manage. If Cisco Meraki Systems Manager integrates with other solutions or models, such as ACA's radio solution, on the same equipment or within the same cloud environment, it will offer significant benefits."

Easy to use and set up with easy mobile access to reports
The initial setup is quite straightforward and simple. It only takes one day to set up. At the time of SAP implementation, it's a part of the portfolio. It's a one-time activity that you have just implemented in your ERP boxes. After that, you have to install a mobile application on Android or iOS, and you can use your user ID and password credentials, and you can access your reports. Once it's installed, you only need one IT person to align things. It doesn't take a big team. They can generate and change reports as necessary. If you need to change certain things, you need an SAP developer. There is no admin team requirement, and you can access it from anywhere.

Cons

"IBM MaaS360 can improve the location reporter. There is a 15-minute delay and this does not allow for any usefulness."
"Can be added process of export/import environment configuration to simplify any migration processes."
"We opted to go with Microsoft Intune because it just seemed to be a more mature and comprehensive enterprise solution, whereas IBM MaaS360 didn't seem to have the necessary breadth to manage all of our equipment. Along with laptops, I've had some BYODs. IBM MaaS360 just didn't seem as mature in our assessment."
"Its integration with Microsoft Teams could be better."
"The product needs to improve tech support."

"The solution can be expensive."
"It doesn't seem to be able to establish some VPN tunnels with other devices in a particular way that such as an ASA can do for us."
"The price of the solution could be reduced."
"They need to allocate more energy in terms of their offering to devices that are not Apple devices."
"Meraki Systems Manager lacks scripting capability compared to Workspace. I've seen the product focused mainly on mobile solutions. They might need more development in endpoints like Windows desktops."
"We would like it if SAP could integrate the transactional mode as well so that users can perform transactional jobs by mobile-only."

"I feel the pricing to be very high."
"The solution is cost-effective."
"It requires zero investment in infrastructure since it is 100% cloud."
"There are other solutions cheaper than IBM MaaS360, such as Microsoft Intune."
