A stable solution that offers it users a choice to opt for a streamlined approach to task management
From a product management function perspective, it can be challenging to measure whether ClickUp improves efficiency on a month-to-month basis. However, I believe that using ClickUp helps maintain our efficiency levels. If we were to stop using it, I am 100% sure that our efficiency would decrease. That being said, just because we are using ClickUp does not automatically mean our efficiency will increase. We have reached a point where we understand how to use ClickUp effectively, and without it, it would definitely be a problem. However, using it alone does not make us better every day. The absence of ClickUp would definitely cause a problem. But, since we are using ClickUp, we don't get to improve 10% on a month-by-month or a year-on-year basis. So, that's very difficult to measure. Introducing automation and AI would greatly benefit ClickUp by reducing manual work. Currently, team members need to update tasks and communicate issues, which requires me to read through each task and comment to understand the situation. However, if AI could assist in making faster decisions, it would greatly improve efficiency. I need to intervene at a minute level to discover if someone is facing a problem, but AI could help detect issues faster. The success of AI implementation can be seen in how ChatGPT has utilized AI.

Efficient project management with robust data tracking and an easy setup
When I have too many elements or items in a project, it becomes cumbersome, especially during printing. Non-technical users do not need all the data, so it's primarily for technical personnel. Without guidance, it's challenging to use the app. With guidance and expert knowledge, it becomes manageable, however, it's not for non-technical teams. The worst part is handling too many items, like 1,000 items, which Microsoft Project struggles with, especially when printing. Printing on A3 size is quite burdensome, so I prefer viewing it on a tablet or computer. On a tablet or phone, I can see the full project elements depending on the screen size.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool is pretty intuitive."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The product has an efficient design."
"It is a useful tool for office management. The solution includes automation and makes it easy to share information with teams. I like its automation ability, which helps automate workflows."
"It is a scalable solution. I would rate it a ten out of ten."
"It is great for visualization and project task assignments to team members."
"ClickUp optimizes task assignments with its user-friendly interface and plethora of options."
"We can update tasks and track projects."
"Microsoft Project is one of the only solutions you can use in just about any industry. It's difficult to do that with most other project management tools. There is a lot of flexibility within the product assets. Most sectors can utilize Microsoft Project successfully because it doesn't have any generic adapters."
"Being able to get a milestone schedule or a breakdown out of it is valuable. It can integrate into Visio, which is helpful."
"The most valuable feature is probably the Kanban diagram. People are familiar with the Kanban tools. When they do their scrum meetings, they have that Kanban board where you can see the different tiles for all the queries and move them from left to right. IT is familiar with that because, for development, most of the tools have that capability. It could also be more graphical, like Asana."
"Microsoft Project's integrated timeline is tied to the project plan almost seamlessly, and you add whatever action item or milestone you choose. All you have to do is set up a column and click on the timeline. It will automatically put it in there and allow you to choose the type, whether it's a bar or if it's a milestone, just pointing out that single milestone"
"We value all the features. Previously, we used Jenkins for similar purposes, but Microsoft Projects works fine. We're looking to improve integration with different clusters on production and automate various aspects of software development. This includes integration for alerting, monitoring, and pricing purposes, among other things."
"The most valuable features of this solution are the scheduling, managing the resources, budgeting, tracking the progress, viewing the progress, reporting, and it is very easy to use."
"Microsoft Project integrates well with the Microsoft Office family of applications. It has plugins that interact with it and you can use it with Microsoft Teams. We can use plugins to communicate with JIRA, Projectplace, and Planview. It's not widely used in the company, of course, but it's something that can interact with the official tools that we have."
"It is a complete and all-rounded enterprise product. From a portfolio management perspective and an individual project management perspective, it is a corporate-wide project management product. It can be used for resource planning, financial planning, task planning, etc."

Cons

"They should explain better how costs and licensing are distributed."
"More automation features must be added."
"It can be improved by making it more user-friendly."
"The product is not user-friendly."
"The solution's user interface is complex and has a steep learning curve. You can't easily find the features that you are looking for."
"ClickUp could improve its documentation section."
"The email portion, specifically the email automation, where you can add attachments, has room for improvement."
"ClickUp can improve the UI for mobile devices. For example, they are lacking some features in the Android version, such as Gantt charts."
"The packaging of Microsoft Project Professional is pretty simple as a product. But, the end-to-end enterprise is complex."
"The Microsoft license is relatively expensive."
"Microsoft Project should provide better documentation regarding the usage of the solution."
"The licensing cost is expensive and has room for improvement."
"We'd like to have more resource allocation and monitoring features."
"Its reporting and its integration with some of the other related systems should be improved. It is not very easy to integrate."
"Tracking timeline, resource allocation, and monitoring are areas of concern for the tool where improvements are required."
"Microsoft Project could improve the dates. Sometimes the dates are not aligned. This occurs even when you auto-schedule the dates. We have to go and define the schedule daily this should more easily accessible."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I use the free version."
"ClickUp is affordable."
"It's very affordable."
"The price of ClickUp is reasonable. The price is approximately eight dollars per month per person."
"I don't have a lot of information about the pricing, but I know that it is fairly inexpensive."
"The product’s cost is high."
"This solution costs $20 per user per month. If you have 20 users, you would pay $400 per month. There are no hidden fees that we are aware of."
"The product has good pricing."
"I believe the licensing for the solution is based on an annual fee."
"Licensing costs vary depending on the user volume. The pricing is good, I'd rate it four out of five."
"We have to pay for a yearly license for Microsoft Project."
"Microsoft Project is an expensive solution."
"The product is not expensive. My company has opted for an annual subscription."
"Pricing-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten since I feel it is a bit costly."
"I am not aware of any additional costs apart from the standard licensing fees of the solution."
"Its price could be reduced a little."

Everything in one place is the biggest benefit. I also like the diagramming tools, where you can create DFDs, structure charts, and more. That makes things easier.
