It simplifies managing large volumes of data and the support is prompt
I rate Hitachi Data Instance Director 10 out of 10. I would recommend it depending on your requirements. If you have a larger and more complex operation, data availability and retention will give you a headache HDID is what you need. Enterprises with a large data volume and high business complexity, should absolutely go for HDID to get some peace of mind.

Automated data masking and provisioning has improved compliance and accelerated secure testing workflows across cloud environments
Some of the best features of Perforce Delphix include its automation of sensitive data discovery and masking with referential integrity for Aurora and RDS, as well as support for diverse data sources including Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, its GUI workflows simplify the creation and scheduling of masking jobs and enhance data governance in cloud hybrid and on-premises environments. Perforce Delphix can deliver up to 25 terabytes of data in just minutes, making it approximately 100 times faster for development and testing needs. Perforce Delphix has positively impacted my organization by saving us 70 to 80% of the time, which has enabled us to complete data sprints earlier, and it has also helped reduce costs. The time to complete one story point has decreased from 10 hours to around 4 or 5 hours, leading to substantial cost savings. Furthermore, it's effective in managing scaled agile enterprise data management, as we orchestrate and govern masking jobs across multiple teams and agile release trains to ensure data privacy standards are maintained.

Pros

"Enterprises with a large data volume and high business complexity should absolutely go for HDID to get some peace of mind."
"We are a bit restless. When we need things, we need them yesterday. Hitachi was the only company who responded quickly with the POC, proposals and technical discussions. When we have asked other vendors to provide a technical solution, they were a bit late, and we were in hurry."
"The best features Perforce Delphix offers are quick and easy production-like database management, as refreshing databases is easy and efficient and has positively impacted my organization by saving considerable time."
"Perforce Delphix has positively impacted my organization as the migration became fast, because earlier migration took four months to migrate our data from prod to non-prod, and now it is just a one-day or two-day task."
"The best aspect of Perforce Delphix is the multi-modality and the ability to handle a large number of files along with decades of commit history since the inception of Synopsys."
"Perforce Delphix has positively impacted my organization very well because many enterprises call us for projects to virtualize databases and mask their fields in the database."
"By introducing its technology in Poland, we have given several clients an amazing virtualization tool, data masking and containing time machine."
"Delphix's data distribution is powerful."
"Perforce Delphix has positively impacted my organization by saving us 70 to 80% of the time, which has enabled us to complete data sprints earlier, and it has also helped reduce costs."
"Delphix's pricing is affordable."

Cons

"The integration with VMware vRealize Orchestrator isn't smooth. It works, but we still need to go back and forth on certain technical aspects."
"Delphix is quite expensive."
"Sometimes the complexity of virtualization needs much more documentation, which is what I think could be improved with Perforce Delphix."
"When it comes to unstructured and structured data, if Delphix can comply with the requirements for most of the structured data, it would be good, especially if it can include the data scanning part."
"Faster data masking."
"It would be good if any CI/CD and DevOps-aligned feature could be triggered through the DevOps pipeline."
"If the data is unique and cannot be masked using the Perforce Delphix built-in algorithms, creating customized algorithms as per the requirement becomes difficult."
"I face different challenges every day on all of the projects, and I see different bugs and problems, so every day I try a new challenge."
"Delphix is a strong solution for virtualization, but it's not strong enough for creating data, so we have to use another solution for creating new data."
