An easy-to-use solution that could improve it’s website-scouring capabilities
The solution is easy to use The solution could improve how it scours each website. We have used the solution for more than a year. The stability is very good, so I rate the solution’s stability an eight out of ten. I rate the scalability a seven out of ten. Our clients are mostly medium-sized…

Reduces organizational risk, low on machine load, and helps prevent ransomware
The most important aspect of the solution is that the load on the machine is not very high. It doesn't take up battery resources. The solution prevents ransomware and other threats. So far, it is working brilliantly. The dashboards and UI are user friendly, as is the ability to configure as needed. It seems to have a lot more capabilities. The XDR capabilities, in particular, look very strong. We're currently looking into that. If we want to do integrations with third parties, we don't have very many challenges around that. The ability to ingest and correlate across our security solutions is very useful. It's impressive. The AI engine it has is excellent. It helps us consolidate our security solutions. While it does not allow us to reduce alerts per se, it does a good job of correlating. The way it's integrated into the SIM, it's working to the expectations we have. The solution helps free up people so that they can work on other tasks. We don't have to grow our team too much now. My security team is actually quite small - about five people. We all get more time to handle other tasks. We've noted that it does help reduce mean time to respond. We can identify events easier and those that are most critical are brought to the forefront. Previously, we were in the dark. Now we have so much more visibility. It's been a huge improvement. It's effectively helped to reduce organizational risk.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is easy to use."
"The autonomous platform is valuable because we can separate false positives and negatives."
"The management dashboard is the most valuable feature."
"The overall product quality is good."
"The anti-ransomware capability to analyze the threats and user-friendliness are the most valuable features."
"The EDR functionality of the platform is what we use the most. That was the primary reason why we got SentinelOne. That is what we use the most in terms of functionality."
"The Ranger feature is valuable."
"Singularity's rollback feature is one of the primary reasons we bought the product. If there's an attack on the machine, the system can automatically roll back the data and the hard drive of the machine that was attacked."
"The most valuable features of SentinelOne are the endpoint detection of threats, and it does not only rely on signatures for detection."

Cons

"The solution could improve how it scours each website."
"Ranger does provide me with visibility of the network, but not completely because the assets it scans are often mistakenly identified regarding what type of device they are."
"It would help if they could get all the relevant threat information, the related events, in one place. Currently, we need to go to a number of places and do research. If they could have it all in one place, that would help investigations."
"I would like SentinelOne to add a threat-hunting report and more UEBA features. They could add more SIEM functionality. It would be nice to have the ability to easily drag all the logs from the agents, so there's no need for multiple agents installed on the endpoint."
"I would like to have a remote desktop feature added so we can remotely access our endpoints."
"If there is a vulnerability that we know about, I search for that vulnerability—for example, Adobe. There are different versions of Adobe, but I'm not able to compile them into one report. I have to create separate reports for those versions."
"Their documentation could afford to be a little bit better communicated. A lot of times we have to look at things in the knowledge base, and much of that could be communicated better, but that would probably be the only thing that needs to be improved."
"The area where it could be improved is reporting. They have some online reporting, but it would be nice to be able to pick and choose. When I'm looking at the console, I would love to be able to pull certain things into a report, the things that are specific to me."
"Singularity Complete needs to improve its ability to granularly select and extract the executable files that I want to run."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution’s pricing a six or seven out of ten.."
"It is expensive. There is no doubt about it. If one of the functions does not work, it becomes very difficult for any CIO to justify the cost."
"SentinelOne is significantly less expensive than CrowdStrike. I recently did a price comparison between CrowdStrike and SentinelOne to determine where we are going for the next three years. CrowdStrike is 200% to 300% the cost."
"SentinelOne's pricing could be lower."
"The one I use is $6 a month per device. Some are $4 and there are some that are more than that."
"There are cheaper options out there that I know are not as effective. I have administered several of them, not for this organization but for others. The thing I like about SentinelOne is that I know that if it raises an alert, it is worth looking at, so we are not dealing with a lot of false positives. It is rare."
"The price is costly compared to what we were previously paying with Microsoft Defender and McAfee."
"The cost of utilizing all the features of SentinelOne Singularity Complete is high."
"SentinelOne Singularity Complete meets all enterprise requirements and is priced accordingly."
