Easy to set up with good security and rapidly improving capabilities
In terms of stability, the performance parameters do come into play. It's good on the regular office front, however, on the development side, if somebody is using it in a development environment, they need to make some configuration changes in terms of what directories should be excluded from the real-time scanning. I had to do that kind of stuff. I don't do that with the Microsoft product, for example. It runs, and it scans the entire system with no issues. The solution is stable. Regular updates were available in the product versions. They were updated, and they gave regular signature updates also so that the product checked all the boxes.

Light and powerful solution design; useful to have
My impression is that the initial setup process is quite straightforward. If you know what you're using it for, the initial setup can be quite easy and the solution is not that hard to use. When it comes to the steps taken for the implementation, you would select the OS you're using and when the files are sent to the appliance you check, and in the appliance configuration, it must be like the visual governance environment. You must set up the OS you have so that appliance can scan or analyze your file. To maintain this solution, you must always have at least one all-around person tuning this solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"ESET provides good protection."
"The most valuable features of ESET Endpoint Antivirus are the search engine, easy firewall setup, and ransomware scans."
"The product offers great reporting tools"
"It can scale as well."
"In terms of the current global landscape, it is a great solution."
"This solution does not slow down your systems. It is very light."
"It rarely gets in the way, and we don't even notice it scanning."
"The protection and device control features are the most valuable. I found its user interface and integration pretty good. It is very user friendly as compared to other products."
"The most valuable feature was the EDR, endpoint detection and response."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that the performance it offers to users is good, making it useful for us in our company."
"It is a stable solution."
"The most valuable feature is the protection and the way it works, the technology is what I like the most."
"The solution is very good because it catches a lot of threats in emails."
"Compared to other solutions, it's easy to configure and implement because of the templates. The timing of scanning files is faster."
"The main benefit of Fortinet FortiSandbox is that it allows organizations to detect and prevent unknown threats from entering an infrastructure."

Cons

"While we see dangers within our security system, it would help if there were popups that could immediately alert us or the user of the endpoint that something was detected."
"They can improve ransomware protection, and there should be cloud sandboxing for Mac."
"When users renew licenses, they should offer a discount."
"The management of the solution isn't as clear as it could be. They could adjust that to make it a better product."
"ESET Endpoint Security should offer more integration with multi-attack frameworks."
"ESET Endpoint Security could improve EDR integration."
"It's not a huge thing, because it doesn't happen very often, but I'll notice sometimes, when there's a startup scan, the computer does bog down a little bit. However, this happens rarely."
"There are other features you can add on to help make the security stronger, however, they should offer better security even on a basic level."
"If you were to compare prices between vendors and manufacturers, you would see that the lowest equipment in the Sandbox line is quite expensive for a new customer."
"If we can have more dashboards, it would be good."
"In the next release, I would like to see machine learning and anti-exploitation included."
"Fortinet FortiSandbox should improve its performance and security accuracy to keep competitive with other solutions, such as IBM."
"Sometimes, there are issues upgrading the version of the firewall or the SD-LAN box. After we upgrade to the latest version of the software, we still have the same box. I think it's the same for every vendor."
"For the MSSPs, it would be great if the product could display all the threat chains on a dashboard since it is an area where the tool is currently lacking."
"It can be difficult if you need to use the Command Line Interface (CLI). It's much easier if you only have to deal with the GUI."
"There could be more templates and a higher number of simulated VMs to configure more use cases. Sometimes we need to configure many use cases in many different environments, and if the number of VMs that we configure is limited, we have to remove some and reconfigure the environment if we need another environment."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"You need to pay for the ESET Endpoint Antivirus license monthly or yearly, whichever you choose."
"It's a cost-effective product"
"I'd have to look through my records, however, we paid maybe $600 to $1000 for this product."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Security is affordable."
"It is subjective. I don't think it is expensive. If you can have 10 user licenses for less than $100, I don't think it is expensive."
"The price of ESET Endpoint Antivirus could be lower. From a customer's perspective, it is expensive."
"At first, we thought it was a bit expensive, but we negotiated a better price."
"The pricing is pretty good."
"The price is competitive."
"It is an expensive solution."
"Fortinet is more reasonable than Palo Alto."
"I rate the product's pricing a five or six on a scale of one to ten, where one is low, and ten is high."
"There are additional costs, which isn't included in the licensing fee."
"The price of Fortinet FortiSandbox is not expensive."
"There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"The solution is unavailable at a lower cost and can be difficult to deploy."
