Very good for collaboration on software projects
We use GitHub for code repository alongside Bitbucket GitHub is very good for collaboration on software projects. We prefer Bitbucket for commercial use, while GitHub is used for open source. You can get the differences, history of changes, and version control for various pull requests. You can…

Configuration management features improve workflow but require a steep learning curve
I need to work more with Helix Core to identify specific areas for improvement. However, it has an extensive feature set that leads to a steep learning curve, where users need to learn quite a bit of features to work with it effectively. While its customization is not an issue, the GUI might not appeal to everyone.

"GitHub has improved the productivity of my team by simplifying code merging and enabling effective branching strategies."
"The control is the most valuable feature as developers can work on a single code."

"It has a lot of features from the code development perspective. You get a lot of features such as repo, commit, merge, and branch. You can play around and do things on the fly. It is easy and simple to deploy. It is also easier to use when working from home."
"GitHub allows us the option to push files from a non-UA method or directly upload files from the UA. You can integrate GitHub with Jenkins to do CI/CD."
"I find the configuration management features of Helix Core particularly valuable."
"The customer service and support are excellent."

Cons

"One area for improvement in GitHub could be integration with other tools, such as test management or project management tools."
"The ticketing system is not working."
"We are not able to access GitHub from our VPN."
"GitHub could improve in resolving conflicts when multiple developers modify the same line of code."
"There is a bit of a learning curve."
"The solution can improve by adding video guides, official guides, or short courses that cater to beginners who are new to the system. These resources could offer step-by-step guidance on how to use GitHub, including common procedures such as pulling and committing. Currently, many of us have to resort to searching for information on how to do these tasks via Google. An official guide provided by GitHub itself would be a valuable asset to newcomers and would save them time and effort."
"The sign in process is a bit difficult. Signing up was challenging at that time."
"Github needs more storage."
"It has an extensive feature set that leads to a steep learning curve, where users need to learn quite a bit of features to work with it effectively."
