Simple to get started with and offers integration features in multiple programming languages
The product provides integration features in multiple languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Golang, and all other languages. Google Firebase has documentation, which might seem a bit confusing, but one with decent knowledge can easily explore and get started with Firebase quickly. Before jumping into any cloud infrastructure, the tool should analyze how much it would cost to run the database. Google Firebase provides a certain number of reads and writes per day, which is approximately 40,000 reads and writes. If there are more than 200 to 300 active users per day, there will be plenty of reads and writes to the database. In such a case, one can't use Google Firebase and has to upgrade to Spark, which is where it is based on usage. The tool is fairly simple to get started with. Utilize all the features can get very complicated. One must be a pretty good developer who has a lot of experience to be able to utilize the best features. It gets really complicated over time. The basic functionality and basic usage are easy to use and easy to get started. There are plenty of deprecated versions, and frequently upgrading them causes inconvenience. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

High stability, reasonably priced, and important for digital transformations
Customers need to be better educated about using the solution's cloud for digital transformation. SAP as a legacy system is missing that flavor. The solution is not a traditional ERP software so should be used as a digital transformation tool. That is the story to project to customers, partners, and sales teams. This will help the solution grow faster than GCP, AWS, or Azure. In fact, Google Cloud Platform is now collaborating with SAP for digital transformation. The solution should offer affordable modules that are customized to startups with 50 to 500 employees. Most people think of SAP as being only for big enterprises but it could be very useful for smaller companies. There are 40,000 to 50,000 startups in APAC each year and that is a large volume. Many of the solution's modules could be used by those startups. Google is targeting this market with chat boards and automation tools at a reasonable price or with six months of free usage. SAP should come up with this kind of module and include sandbox so providers can play with a few of the POCs.

Pros

"If you are selling an app with extensive Firebase use, costs may go up."
"This solution supports our real time database. We also use it for AB testing and for its Google Cloud functions. We make use of Crashlytics and reporting on details."
"The main feature for us is that the tools are all in one place and that you don't need to bother with the backend system and the infrastructure."
"The main part that I like about Firebase is that it provides command line tools."
"What I like most about Google Firebase is that it's one of the easier options to host a website or app quickly."
"It is a stable solution...It is a very scalable solution."
"The most valuable features of Google Firebase are its database, noSQL database, file storage, authentication, and notifications."
"Firebase offers encryption out of the box."
"Traditionally, SAP worked with Oracle databases, but SAP is getting rid of the other databases and promoting its own. SAP will stop support for other databases around 2026, so everyone is moving to SAP S/4HANA for the performance and because it's the preferred database for SAP. S/4HANA has new features from the front-end or application feature perspective. The idea is to move toward future-ready technology."
"It is a stable and scalable product."
"The processes and the way we take advantage and use assistance are good."
"There's a minimum amount of downtime when using the solution. This platform is very effective."
"I am impressed with how the solution integrates with the ME system and ALE IDocs."
"The scalability is good because we have some cloud resources to support the ERP."
"One of the features that I've found most useful is that It's very simple. They take care of the technical aspects of the data, installations, patches."
"This solution is as good as any other S/4HANA SAP solution. The continuous support we get is very valuable."

Cons

"If I were to review the service, it would be about paid functionalities, like implementing notifications, is easy, but debugging is not."
"We had some compatibility issues with Elixir."
"Since Google Firebase is a NoSQL platform, areas for improvement include enhancing query functionalities to be more equivalent to SQL, like MS SQL."
"The product is complicated for beginners to understand."
"There needs to be an easy way to duplicate a database."
"There was no way of knowing how the rise in traffic would impact the price."
"I rate the support from Google Firebase a four out of five."
"The solution needs to offer capabilities to work offline. Like Firestore, we should be able to do insertion, updating, and deletion offline."
"The cost could be improved. I think it's higher than the competition."
"This product is not mature enough at this point in time."
"I would rate the stability a four out of ten. It's an area that could use improvement"
"The stability of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"Customization is an area of concern in SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, where improvements are required."
"The stability needs to be improved to be able to handle large amounts of data."
"SAP support isn't on par with products like Microsoft Azure or AWS. It's nowhere close to the competitors."
"It needs improvement in terms of stability and performance."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing plans indicate it can get very expensive."
"The pricing component is a bit confusing when it comes to what exactly you'll pay for, but I wouldn't say it's expensive."
"The product is free."
"They have a free tier that will cover most projects. For more intensive use, you pay as you use it, but the price is very cheap."
"We are using the free version of Google Firebase."
"My company makes very minimal payments toward the licensing costs of the solution."
"It is an expensive tool."
"My company makes monthly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There are no additional costs apart from the licensing costs attached to the solution."
"The pricing is reasonable when compared to other vendors like Oracle who offer technology enterprise resource software."
"The product itself is relatively expensive."
"The licensing of the solution is on a yearly basis. The normal price of the solution is quite high, but I received a special discount by making a purchase near the end of the year."
"SAP may not be the most cost-effective option, but it does offer a comprehensive set of tools and features. When you have the right information, structure, and dashboard in place, it can provide excellent value. Additionally, competition with Oracle might be a factor to consider."
"The solution could be less expensive."
"If you choose the minimum, it will probably cost around $1,000 USD per month if you take a contract for a year or two."
"The price is high compared to other databases, which is why HANA is still not widely used. Some enterprises prefer Sybase, Oracle, or other traditional databases because HANA is a little pricey. Cost is one factor SAP needs to work on to make it more competitive with other databases. Otherwise, they'll never be able to develop a mass customer base."
"I rate the product's price a five out of ten."
