It's bundled, so I don't need to purchase an additional product
Infor ION is a middleware solution I use to create workflows, integrate applications, and build custom dashboards. I deploy ION for all customers that use Infor because they need to integrate internal business applications like an Oracle content management system or their financial software ION…

Scales well, high availability, and convenient to use
The initial setup of the Mule Anypoint Platform is simple. My team was trained in only a few weeks. The process of deployment took a couple of hours. My advice to others is for them to use the catalyst service. They help you get started and gradually let you be on your own. Mule Anypoint Platform is also highly convenient since my team was able to quickly set up the new team for the initial implementation. Within a few weeks, they began developing independently, gradually reducing the need for external support and focusing on efficiently running the system with internal resources. I rate the initial setup of the Mule Anypoint Platform a nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool's most valuable feature is middleware capabilities."
"I have found the most valuable feature to be the ability to monitor integration performance and the reasons for the failure of inbound and outbound transactions. We can see both inbound and outbound transactions, and it gives us a mirror image or the whole history of all inbound and outbound transactions between Infor M3 Business Engine and the third parties."
"We haven't had any issues with ION so far."
"ION is good for building custom middleware boxes."
"The API toolkit is the solution's most valuable aspect at this time, for our organization."
"The solution's deployment and proxy processes are very good."
"It is a stable product...The initial setup was simple."
"The most valuable feature of Anypoint MQ is it comes with MuleSoft so we don't have to maintain separate components."
"The tool helps with order management and automates the enterprise's orchestration, invoice creation, product maintenance, and product life cycle. The API manager feature helps us configure, secure, and call APIs."
"Initial setup was very straightforward. Deployment is a cakewalk."
"The most valuable feature of Mule Anypoint Platform is rapid development."
"The platform's cloud integration capabilities are good."

Cons

"Infor ION doesn't provide connectors for all integration touchpoints. Sometimes, we may have to build our own. It incurs additional costs for the customer."
"The dashboard is not very simple and can be a bit tricky."
"ION's integration with older applications could be better."
"I would like to see ION add automated setup and integration with Salesforce. They need to work on these types of tools."
"There are so many solutions like this, but this is not as mature as those products. The other MQ products have the capability of reprocessing and maintaining the persistence of the data. They can handle large volumes and large messages, but Anypoint MQ doesn't have those capabilities."
"What I hear from my customers is that it's very expensive compared to the cost of other integration suites. The cost keeps increasing. MuleSoft should come up with customization factors by using a different way of getting the cost-related stuff to attract customers. That is, they should come up with some cost optimizations."
"Mule should have better B2B integration."
"The stability could be better."
"The solution is very expensive. They need to work on the pricing."
"Adding connectors for new upcoming applications would add extra value to this product."
"Mule Anypoint Platform should improve its pricing. In my experience, a customer using the sandbox version couldn't upgrade to the final version because it exceeded their budget. Another area for improvement is the login mechanism. We need to integrate with third-party products for strong authentication, but it would be better if MuleSoft had its own robust login mechanism."
"It should give better control over account management."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The solution is the priciest in the market which is an issue for some clients."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing as four or five out of ten."
"Making changes in Anypoint MQ is expensive."
"Mule Anypoint Platform is affordable."
"Mule is not the cheapest integration platform out there, but it deserves the price we are paying."
"Mule Anypoint Platform pricing is slightly higher compared to Dell Boomi."
"I can't give you a straightforward answer because sometimes it depends on the usage. If you're going to have fewer than 5 million messages, it is free of cost. If you're going to have more than 5 million messages, they're going to charge $100 per month"
"The solution has a high price."
