A tool with an easy initial setup phase that can be centrally managed by users
What needs to be improved is what my company sends to Kaspersky's team when we are working with it, and then they work on it, which is why we always have updates to take care of the bugs and all those things. You can't have one thing in the solution that needs to be improved. The solution is affordable. For the solution itself, while you are working with it, you come across stuff, that Kaspersky's network helps you deal with since you can send your stuff to Kaspersky's team, and they have access to certain reports, and based on the reports and what what are we doing, the solution is always worked on, so that it can be made the best and efficient application. On a daily basis, the tool is being improved, and I am okay with it. Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business Select is automated. The cloud application for Kaspersky is automated. For the solution needed for individual systems, Kaspersky provides you with a platform that provides internet security. With Kaspersky, you have a platform that allows you to access www.kaspersky.com and see the systems that you have worked on in the past. If you need to do anything with your individual machines indirectly, you can manage it through a centralized system. The solution's automation capabilities is an area where certain improvements are required.

The solution has given us visibility into compliance within our whole system and helped us ensure everything is updated
Symantec's application security module needs some improvement. You need to create a lot of fingerprints for application security. For instance, let's say I have different brands of ATMs in my environment, like Wincor and NCR. I use GRG to deploy an application control to whitelist some applications. I have to get the exact image of the different models of ATMs. When I tested in the past, some machines would not connect to the server without that. Only the approved software on the ATM should run. Anything outside that should not even come up at all. We did this so that an outside person doesn't introduce malicious software to the ATM. That's the essence of locking down with application control. Using Symantec for application control has been hectic, so I use Carbon Black to do the lockdown. Checking that data security will work fine with Carbon Black. Carbon Black worked fine. Setting up approval in Carbon Black works differently than Symantec. In Symantec, we first need the fingerprints of the applications running underneath. Before setting up Carbon Black, you first install the agent, allowing it to learn the environment. It will analyze all the software's behavior and provide recommendations for what should be allowed. It's more straightforward, whereas configuring application control in Symantec is a bit cumbersome.

Pros

"The most valuable features of the solution stem from the fact that it can be centrally managed, allowing users to know what is happening and what can be expected in the systems."
"I installed Kaspersky for protection if there is a virus on my computer"
"Kaspersky Total Security has valuable reporting features regarding visibility for trusted sites and safe browsing."
"It has advanced features for detecting malware and ensuring customer safety."
"It automatically identifies potential threats in emails, websites, and documents, swiftly blocking or quarantining anything harmful to prevent any damage or infection to my system."
"It is a stable product."
"The most beneficial feature of Kaspersky Total Security for me is its all-in-one antivirus solution with continuous signature updates for effective malware detection and prevention."
"I am satisfied with the solution's security features because we have been using it for years."
"It seems to be user-friendly. Our users seem to like it for the most part."
"Symantec Endpoint Security is very stable, and I would rate it ten out of ten for stability."
"The best thing about Symantec is its ability to control our endpoints from a single point. You can manage the antivirus definitions, upgrades, remote scanning, etc., from one console."
"Some of the features that were important were a built-in firewall and device control."
"The firewall, malware, and anti-virus protection have earned its keep in times past by catching the unexpected."
"It's good at detecting signature-based stuff and stopping that."
"The scheduled scans and the active protection were the most valuable because it allowed me to have the systems protected in real-time and also be able to schedule scans so that as new definitions would update, machines could be scanned to make sure that everything was in tip-top shape and there was nothing lurking in the background."
"One of the most valuable features is its antivirus database, which is current and updated daily. Another valuable feature is its capacity to be managed by a single server. The solution is managed by a secure server, so all the endpoints are managed from a central point."

Cons

"Its interface needs to be more user-friendly."
"Enhancing the encryption code, particularly in relation to ransomware would be a great addition for future use."
"It would be beneficial if the resource usage could be reduced to lessen the burden on devices."
"Kaspersky Total Security's configuration part is complex."
"The stability could be improved."
"The solution’s email protection area should be improved."
"The solution's automation capabilities is an area where certain improvements are required."
"Kaspersky Total Security is an expensive solution, and its pricing could be improved."
"The solution could be more secure and scalable."
"The one thing I don't like about Symantec Endpoint Security is the amount of resources it uses."
"More control features can be added, and its performance can also be better. Sometimes, the performance is not good when we access the cloud console. Moving to each tab is slow. The dashboard can be a little bit user-friendly. For some users, it is a bit difficult. If someone is a little bit familiar with it, then it is fine. Otherwise, it is hard to find policies in Symantec."
"I would like to see fileless attack protection."
"They lack the visibility you get in a heuristical, artificial, AI type of product, like a next-gen antivirus."
"The support can be wanting. Sometimes the time to resolution is longer than I would expect."
"Any external device which is inserted into a computer should be subject to an auto-scan policy, to automatically scan it before accepting the device... They need to make it more user-friendly, so that when anyone puts in a USB stick it will be scanned, popping up any problems before it is used."
"They provide the updates of the client, and those clients need a reboot after the upgrade, which is something we don't like. We don't like to reboot the server after the upgrade because we have live applications. If we do a reboot, it can impact the business as well."

"Users need to pay a licensing fee for the solution, which is neither cheap nor expensive."

"The licensing is okay. Symantec has a very granular licensing model, so you only buy what you need."
"It provides a good solution at a good price."
"When comparing this solution to others in the current market it is expensive."

"The pricing is a little bit more expensive than other competitors, if you compare it to Kaspersky, for example, or McAfee."
