Discontinuation of Hardware and limited firewalling capabilities
Overall, I would rate the solution a four out of ten. For UTM, I will not suggest Seqrite. But for EPS and antivirus, it is good. Cost-wise also and some features. The features wise also, it is good. And support is also good. We can get support on WhatsApp. So support-wise, it is also good.

As for areas where Sophos Cyberoam UTM can be improved, it's hard to say; I have not at the moment seen anything that I could not get a solution for, but if there's anything, I'll make sure to raise that with the Sophos team. Regarding the documentation, I find that it is still lacking, although the YouTube videos, user training, and knowledge forum are now better than they were before. Sophos Cyberoam UTM should move in the direction of AI capabilities, as the world is moving toward AI. Sophos Cyberoam UTM is not promoted enough. I see FortiGates organizing student competitions and Cisco doing CCNA classes, so Sophos should follow that route as well.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has an MDM solution."
"The solution works really well overall."
"There are plenty of features available, such as Full Guard and WAN."
"Overall, I would rate the solution as a nine out of ten."
"The user interface is well laid out and understandable."
"We used to use Fortinet UTM, but Cyberoam is much better in terms of virus scanning, web filtering and spam filtering."
"Its portal is user-friendly, and I am able to manage the user data and access control through this device."
"We have never had to restart a firewall. The firewalls have all worked perfectly fine."
"So organizations productivity is higher thanks to the Cyberoam as users are restricted from unnecessary websites and bandwidth is capped and company functions do not suffer."

Cons

"This solution is not accurate. Sometimes, the switches got hung. So sometimes, whatever policies we have deployed were not working properly."
"Once in a while, an unwanted email will slip in. If an email slips in, I get a little bit worried."
"I have problems with the email filtering. Emails pass through without any filtering affecting them."
"The scalability needs work."
"The scalability is not that great. I think that the Sophos XG product is more scalable than the Sophos Cyberoam."
"Customer service is very poor."
"Technical support could be faster."
"Sophos Cyberoam UTM could improve by adding VPN site-to-site capabilities. The correct version does not work with Microsoft Azure Cloud."
"Now that the company has shifted from Cyberoam to Sophos, I would not recommend implementing the security-related features of the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Although it's not a very cheap solution, Sophos Cyberoam UTM is in a good price range considering its feature set."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten, where one is cheap, and ten is high."
"Sophos Cyberoam UTM is a cost-efficient solution compared to other solutions."
"It is worth the value."
"Cyberoam's pricing depends on the services you subscribe for. Most firewalls right now, especially UTM, focus on services and stagger all the services. If you want a particular service, you pay for it."
"This is a cost-effective solution compared to other vendors, such as Cisco."
"There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"We just use the standard package."
