Discontinuation of Hardware and limited firewalling capabilities
Overall, I would rate the solution a four out of ten. For UTM, I will not suggest Seqrite. But for EPS and antivirus, it is good. Cost-wise also and some features. The features wise also, it is good. And support is also good. We can get support on WhatsApp. So support-wise, it is also good.

Reliable security features have effectively protected against breaches and promote scalable network management
The methodology of the rule sets is perhaps one of the plus points. I think everybody else does it, but the way the rule sets are configured makes it an easily understandable way to manage. One of my presentations demonstrates appropriate and affordable, comprehensive threat protection with centralized management and improved network security. This describes how firewall and VPN functionalities of this product benefit my organization. Protection and identity based security are probably the major selling points, with logging and centralized management. It allows you to identify issues first, and the reporting facilities are there and can be automated. You've got automated reporting that you can set appropriate levels of reporting to management and to the operational team, so they are alerted to what's going on. This describes how Sophos Cyberoam UTM's reporting capability helps in managing our network effectively.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It has an MDM solution."
"There has been great productivity as, during working hours, I have managed to set them to view that which relates to the nature of our business."
"Content filtering, as this enables me to control that which employees can view at different time quotas."
"If you know what you are doing it is really straightforward and quite simple to deploy, setup and then go have a drink."
"I find Sophos very good, and what I like about it is that users can make hotspots in Mac and Windows systems through this solution and we can block those devices that are connected to the hotspot we created, only through Sophos, which is a good feature we did not find in other UTMs."
"It has also increased productivity within the organization because now, fewer people are spending time abusing the network, and are focusing more on their jobs."
"The product is a simple and user-friendly UTM that can handle accounting, reporting, firewall, IPS, and antivirus for industries."
"There are plenty of features available, such as Full Guard and WAN."
"The solution is easy to use."

Cons

"This solution is not accurate. Sometimes, the switches got hung. So sometimes, whatever policies we have deployed were not working properly."
"Very early CR15 unit prone to freeze."
"The solution's pricing could be a problem for some small businesses."
"You can now load the Sophos software onto a Cyberoam box to use the new feature set, although it would be nice if it came with it."
"As an IT manager, I don't get the complete report of what users are doing, so it would be great to have that also."
"More flexibility would make Sophos Cyberoam UTM better. The platform is not entirely flexible as it is."
"I don't know whether this will be included in an upgrade, but I would like to get the user utility, like seeing where the users are using more of the data."
"The Traffic Discovery feature should allow administrators to disconnect unnecessary live connections."
"We use different workarounds and find different solutions for it, depending on the client's needs. We shouldn't have to, we should just be able to use the product as it comes with Cyberoam, rather than having to revert to other products."
