Some of the features we find very valuable and use a lot, are retention sets.
IBM Spectrum Protect Plus enables incremental backups through virtual snapshots and facilitates switching from tapes to disks, enhancing speed. It supports Kubernetes and cloud backups, with valued deduplication for efficient data storage. Scalability and integration support enterprise needs, but it only supports HyperV and VMware. Despite robust features, initial configuration is challenging for entry-level teams, and graphical reports are inadequate, requiring third-party software. Replication is unavailable, and integration with Spectrum Protect needs improvement.
