My recommendation would be that if you have an intent to use all of Cohesity's feature set, then you should probably consider using Cohesity cloud services, especially if you're a service provider, and you're going to be delivering Cohesity to more than one customer as a managed service. I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I would recommend Cohesity DataProtect for things like Oracle backups and SQL backups. I rate the solution ten out of ten for its effectiveness in managing backups across multiple environments or clouds. We chose Cohesity DataProtect because its SQL Clones and SQL backups were very good. The solution's instant restoration of virtual machines is very quick. The solution's integration with Azure is very good, and it uses cloud block storage for long-term retention. Overall, I rate Cohesity DataProtect a nine out of ten.
I am an implementor, so I've prebuilt for this scope. And I put it in your environment. Then, I will ask the configurer to check. And then I give you the the toy to play with. Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.
I am using the latest version of Cohesity DataProtect. Most product-based companies are switching over from legacy products to Cohesity DataProtect. I would recommend Cohesity DataProtect to other users. Overall, I rate Cohesity DataProtect a seven out of ten.

I have recommended the solution to multiple customers, and it has been well-received. While we do not currently use it internally, we have successfully recommended it to new customers who have implemented it based on our suggestion. I would recommend that others give Cohesity DataProtect a try, provided that their environment can support it. It is important to note that like any other solution if it is deployed in a poorly designed environment, it may not perform well. However, in a well-architected environment, Cohesity DataProtect is a reliable and robust solution. I rate Cohesity DataProtect an eight out of ten.

We have one systems engineer for the maintenance of the solution. It's important to obtain an accurate count of the number and size of servers that require backup. By gaining insight into potential future growth, you can correctly size your environment and prepare for the upcoming expansion. This way, you can avoid the need for additional investments in the future. I rate Cohesity DataProtect an eight out of ten.
I'd advise potential new users to do their due diligence before, know what they want, and get some training. I would rate the solution eight out of ten.

I'd advise potential new users to just compare it to something else, and maybe you'll arrive at the same conclusion that we did - that it's a good product. It's a good product. It integrates pretty tightly with our VMware infrastructure. I'd rate it nine out of ten.

My advice to anyone considering Cohesity DataProtect is to try it out because the performance seems to exceed the competitors in the market. If it fits well in your organization or your use cases, then give it a shot. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Cohesity DataProtect a nine. I did a lot of research into the different products and found this one to be pretty much top across the board and after using it, we are very happy with the performance and the results that we are getting.

I rate Cohesity nine out of 10. So, I would recommend it because it's quite a simple product and can do a lot. With the last product we used, you had to be a specialist to navigate in it. It's a much more straightforward and modern interface—very intuitive to use. And the speed of the backups, we do much more backup than we ever did before. So, I would certainly recommend it, yes.
We'd like to see easy Administration and non-disruptive upgrades and node additions. For a few engineering issues, we've observed delays and they are asking for an upgrade of the cluster. It would be good if they modified it with gflags.

Although the NPS score was rated highly, this should not be the only factor to consider. There may be other factors involved that affect this score and as mentioned, backup solutions are a long-term deal. Not many companies will be willing to jump ship, risking their backups that are kept on proprietary platforms.

Overall, it's a good product when it works — don't hesitate to go with it, just make sure you get a good implementation engineer from Cohesity that can answer all your questions. Be sure to ask questions every step of the way. They also have a pretty decent training program; I've gone through a few of their training courses and those are useful. Definitely, I would recommend that anybody that's putting it in for the first time, definitely attend a couple of their all-day, six to eight-hour-long courses, and take some of their administrator-type courses. Overall, once we worked through some of the problems we had, it's been pretty good. Not counting the tech support who I rate low, but the overall product, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Cohesity a rating of eight out of ten.

As is the case with any product, I recommend running a proof of concept before fully implementing it. This will help you to make sure that it fits the requirements. In the proof of concept, you can test everything you want. Examples include SQL, Exchange, and File Backup. You should also test the replication between nodes.

My advice is to set up a Proof of Concept with Cohesity. They are more than accommodating and basically treat you like a licensed customer. Any issues you do encounter get fixed during a PoC, so make sure to document them well because it makes the production implementation of Cohesity dead simple. Just try it ... and be prepared to like it. Make sure to have a set list of scenarios to test.

We are now backing up our O365 email via Cohesity, which is something we didn't even know it could do when we purchased it. They really are developing a great platform for unstructured data and backups.

Officially, we do plan to implement this solution one day. We're new enough to the system, and we are excited about it enough that we are still in the 'Honeymoon' phase. With respect to legacy support, we don't have funds to stay up to date with a lot of leading things. There is also a mentality of 'if it is not broken, do not fix it' with systems that we are working to overcome. This almost made it a deal-breaker for us, but Cohesity came to rescue with support for our versions.
I would say that Cohesity seems like they are a very forward looking company. They are adding features with each release and seem to be investing heavily in extending their product. I feel like we will get good value out of our investment.

Cohesity can replicate backups to a secondary cluster (also virtual edition).

The software is running by itself! It was a very great acquisition for us.
Cohesity offers the possibility to do a free POC, so if you have any doubt, try it, and I am sure you will see a lot of their advantages.
Take it a go, I think you'll love it.
At this time I don't, as I learn more I will update my review.
It is a great product. I recommend it.
