There are multiple areas for improvement, like enhancing the product's user visibility and spam ranking. On-premises sandboxing should reduce false positives and strengthen its position compared to other products in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.
The product helps users handle security challenges as it offers prefiltering options and does relatively good incident reporting. The product also helps diagnose the tool's interface. The tool's anti-spam feature was easy to use. The tool automatically checks the spam part, which is a fast process. The tool's user interface and customizability features are fine. My company maintains the tool for the customers. There are one to two engineers and a handful of operating people who take care of daily businesses and operational tasks. When we go to our company's customers, we always like to offer a full stack of security tools for an environment and it is an area where we prefer Fortient. The tool integrates with other Fortinet products in a very good manner. With open-source tools, Fortinet FortiMail's integration is good enough. I don't know how much AI is involved in the tool. For people with Fortinet's universe, it is a good product that they can choose, and it offers good integration features. It is also a solid feature set. If someone is on a tight budget, I won't recommend the tool to such people. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

The data loss prevention feature in Fortinet FortiMail is not as comprehensive as it should be to cover all data movements and types. It may require additional purchases or integration with solutions like Symantec to monitor and protect the entire range of data effectively. Fortinet FortiMail is a reputable brand known for providing robust support. They consistently strive to offer effective solutions tailored to your IT infrastructure. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

We do not work with on-premise clients. Since the solution’s pricing is very high, the customers tend to look at alternatives. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten.
While FortiMail provides a valuable option for those focused on transparent mail filtering or security solutions, it may not be the preferred choice for users accustomed to the features offered by platforms like Microsoft Exchange. In the SME segment, factors such as functionality, ease of use, and cost play a significant role. Many businesses in this category may find cloud-based solutions more appealing due to lower costs, simplified maintenance, and performance considerations. If an organization operates in the enterprise segment and has a substantial budget, considering Fortinet might be a viable option. However, for the SME segment, I would not recommend it due to the cost involved and the complexities associated with yearly renewals. Implementing Fortinet requires a level of technical expertise, particularly in understanding how mail servers function. Overall, I would rate seven out of ten.

You have to consider the specific environment's requirements, including the cost and its impact on the business while looking for a vendor. I rate Fortinet FortiMail a seven out of ten.
I am using the latest version of Fortinet FortiMail. Users need to understand the SMTP standards to configure Fortinet FortiMail properly. If you make mistakes in the configuration, you may allow users on the internet to use your email as an MTA. This was the mistake committed by one of our customers who tried to deploy the solution himself without proper knowledge. You must have some knowledge about the solution so you can internally configure it. Overall, I rate Fortinet FortiMail an eight out of ten.
My company is a reseller for Fortinet. I primarily work with Fortinet FortiMail and Fortinet FortiGate, but with FortiADC, not so much. My customers use Fortinet FortiMail, but my company also uses it as a Fortinet partner. I mainly deal with sales and scoping for Fortinet FortiMail and other Fortinet products. My rating for the solution is a ten out of ten.
I'm a customer and end-user. We are using the latest version of the solution. I would not recommend this solution to others. I'd rate it five out of ten.
I do the maintenance of the solution. It requires updates every few months. If somebody wants a good solution that is cost-effective and works well, I would recommend Fortinet FortiMail. I rate Fortinet FortiMail a nine out of ten.

My company is using the latest version of Fortinet FortiMail. Approximately six hundred to seven hundred people have mailboxes within the company, but in terms of Fortinet FortiMail usage, my company has five administrators for it. Two administrators deal with cybersecurity issues and security checks, then the other two administrators focus on the network, while a system administrator deals directly with product health. I'd say that there are three standard users of Fortinet FortiMail and two backup users. I would recommend Fortinet FortiMail to others looking into implementing the solution for business purposes. My rating for Fortinet FortiMail is ten out of ten. My company is a customer of Fortinet FortiMail.
We are using the latest version of the solution. I would rate the solution ten out of ten. We've had a good experience with the product. I'd recommend the solution to other users and organizations.

If someone is looking for an on-premise private email server, I would recommend FortiMail. If they have no concerns over privacy then there are cloud solutions available. I rate Fortinet FortiMail an eight out of ten.
I rate FortiMail nine out of 10. I don't know what other solution is the best, but we are happy with Fortinet products. We offer FortiMail to all our customers. For example, when I go to any customer to explain the different solutions, I mention FortiMail if they don't have a mail solution. Or perhaps they have another product that they're using, say Kaspersky Mail Protection, but they're not getting any support from Kaspersky, so nobody knows how it's working. They installed the device, but nobody provided them support. In a situation like this, our sales pitch for Fortinet is that we will provide three years of support. Also, Fortinet itself provides support for them 24-7, so they're getting a fast response from Fortinet.
I would recommend this solution to others and advise them to use the 400F series or higher because lower models do not have the DLP feature which is very important to have. I rate Fortinet FortiMail a nine out of ten.

It's important to know what you're aiming for beforehand and what your environment needs in terms of implementation. It requires being very explicit so you can know what to set up with it. Once we go on the cloud, everything will be hosted as assets. I highly recommend the product. The product is easy and there's no complexity. It's easy to use, easy to learn, easy to upgrade, easy to apply any changes. It offers a good price versus quality balance. I would rate the solution 8.5 out of ten.

Emails are dangerous to deal with. You need backdoors for all people, You don't have any control over it because you are not the person who's dealing with emails for the employees. Everyone is dealing with their own emails. In order to secure your emails, you need to secure your employees and the emails that are trespassing into your environment. You need to find a solution that not only scans emails, but you also need to have some artificial intelligence for the machine learning for emails. That's what FortiMail is doing. FortiMail is flexible, straightforward, and easy to troubleshoot. This is key, for IT, they need to troubleshoot easily, and need to know why and how this was done. FortiMail is one of the important applications that can provide us what we require, as well as, being able to delegate your troubleshooting and your administration with many players or many, team members in IT. There are some that can do it while others cannot. You should test before you decide to own a product. Don't rely on people saying, that it's the best product I have. You should know what your business is working with. There are no best practices in IT. There is what the business needs in IT. The best practices that are there, are by the books, but the business may require different paths than the books and the best practices they tell you. So, always test. Know why and what you need the services for and don't buy everything, because you will not have time to be working on all of them. If you have things set up straightforwardly, and it is fast to configure, then, yes, these products are good for you. The differences are, the experience and stability of these products, and how far you can go with the policies. This is what I have learned, not only from FortiMail but from all the solutions we're working with. Never put your business and IT aside. They should collaborate and align together. Overall, this is a good and reliable application. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
I will definitely recommend this solution to others, and my rating is nine out of ten. It is very reliable and always available. In the future, I would like to see better management of the monitoring dashboard. Perhaps they can add a pie chart or other charts in the report because they are very useful and customers will really appreciate them.

With the Fortinet FortiMail solution, you have a lot of advantages because of the effectiveness of security. You also see a return on investment in the cost of ownership and value. The licensing value — as I hear from clients — is very good, and the capacity of FortiMail is very scalable. You can have a large number of users and pay according to the capacity, not on the number of users so you pay for actual use. On a scale from one to ten, where one is the worst and 10 is the best, I give FortiMail an eight out of ten.

I recommend this solution to clients and I really love the way that Fortinet thinks about and executes most of their solutions. They maintain a simple graphic user interface and they give you a good view of your network and good visibility. I love the design of FortiGate. They know the protocol, how the protocol is being used and they protect the protocol from other mechanisms. FortiMail is an awesome product mechanically. I think they should have better features in FortiMail to integrate more tightly with Fortinet. It should also have a user awareness mechanism or more artificial intelligence. It is a user environment that should help the user to know how efficiently email is transacting in the system as well as what are the latest forms of phishing, spam and malicious emails. They should definitely involve an AI mechanism in the latest version to be more proactive and intelligently determine solutions without administrative interaction. On a scale from one to ten, where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate FortiMail as a nine. With artificial intelligence, it could be a ten.

It reduces the stress of keeping your environment safe. Security starts with the individual and it needs to be layered. Mail is the easiest way to hit up a company. Mail security is a must. I would rate it an eight out of ten.
I rate this program a ten out of ten, because it's configured right. The person who configured it actually knows what the real function of anti-spam is. It protects me from cryptography. I do see some connection delay from time to time, but I believe it is because of the Sandbox check.
As cyber attacks become more sophisticated, it is crucial for email security solutions to offer multi-layered protection. Fortinet's proven email security platform, FortiMail, is a comprehensive multi-layered threat protection solution designed to secure users from the full spectrum of email-based threats, which includes zero-day threats, credential impersonation, spam, phishing, malware, and business email compromise (BEC) attacks.
