I would tell those who plan to buy the solution that it is important to do a PoC to understand how simple it is to implement the product and use it on a daily basis for data protection. I could split my rating for the evaluation of the product in a small environment and a huge environment. For small environments, I rate the tool a nine out of ten since it works as a very effective solution. For complex or huge environments, I rate the tool an eight out of ten since scalability is one of the areas of concern in the product, especially when users want more services from the product. I rate the overall tool an eight and a half out of ten.
It necessitates careful consideration of factors such as the volume of data to be backed up, the number of servers in play, and the requirement for proxy servers. Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten.
The use varies according to the customer’s specific requirements. It serves as a commendable backup option for on-premises VMware setups. However, for alternative scenarios or situations demanding a worldwide scope, there might be alternative solutions available within the market. I would rate eight out of ten.
I can recommend that it serves as a good solution. The code constitutes a comprehensive answer. It effectively backs up all workloads. This applies to various scenarios – from email to physical and virtual machines, services, SAP DNS, and Azure DNS – allowing for comprehensive backup solutions. It extends to cloud-based backups as well. Essentially, it covers the entirety of our workload, whether on our infrastructure or network. I would rate it an eight out of ten.
In terms of stability and efficiency, I highly recommend it. I've already introduced it to two or three different companies where my colleagues work, although I'm not sure if they have already adopted and purchased it.

Veeam Backup & Replication is an excellent choice for those seeking a generic backup solution. It caters to a wide range of requirements and fulfills approximately 80 percent of the market's needs. Customers running VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix workloads, and more can readily utilize Veeam Backup & Replication. However, for those with highly customized or specific workloads, a more tailored solution might be necessary. While Veeam Backup & Replication is versatile and widely applicable, certain niche requirements may call for a specialized backup solution beyond the generic features of Veeam Backup & Replication. I rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.

Veeam Backup & Replication is the market leader in storage backups. My advice to others is if you are not going to use all the features of Veeam Backup & Replication then use a less expensive solution that can fit the use case. I rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.
I have been Implementing Veeam for over ten years. The product has come a long way. With any good backup solution, you need to have a good platform for the backups to land. With flash prices dropping I would pair your secondary storage (flash) as the backup target, this is great for restores and restoring a backup is normally a second thought but should be considered during design. I would rate it a 9 out of ten for a fully Virtual environment and 8 out of 10 for a mixed environment.

While Veeam is a good Backup and Replication solution that we use for our Hyper-V VMs we also keep SQL Server backups as a separate solution. The backup is good for a DR and HA solution but for Ransomeware and Database corruption be sure to have a separate solution for databases.Â
We currently use Veeam for backup of VMs to our DR site and know how long the backups take as during one of our failover tests we were unable to get the Veeam backup because the backup had not yet completed so we were not able to get the restore in the DR site. This means keeping multiple copies and some retention in case of equipment failure and a complete restore in needed.
All databases are also backed up to a NAS both at production and in the DR site which are on separate security platforms so a Ransomeware attack is not able to touch and are also retained weekly and monthly as data corruption usually takes several days to surface.Â
The biggest thing is to do the research. Do a comparison of each industry-leading product and see which feature set you're looking for. There is the price point as well, but I usually recommend that the feature set is more important than the price. If you're looking for specific features and capabilities and they're not available in a product, picking that product because it is the cheapest could be a mistake. So, make sure that you're comparing feature sets and purchasing the one that has the features that you're looking for. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten. There are other products that have more advanced features. They would be rated a little higher.
I would advise others that the implementation of Veeam Backup Replication is straightforward and it is a great solution. I recommend Veeam Backup Replication to others. I rate Veeam Backup Replication a ten out of ten.

We discovered Veeam Backup Replication with our presales people in our company. We did a POC at our office which is mandatory by our technical director when we discover a new solution. We go to the customer and discuss with them the difference and benefit of Veritas Backup Exec and Veeam and which can best suit their environment. Additionally, we show them the difference between using Veritas Backup Exec and the Veeam Backup Replication. Veeam needs to work on their marketing for their solutions. I would recommend this solution to others. I rate Veeam Backup Replication a nine out of ten.
This solution is very user-friendly. The first time you use it, you can download the trial, so you don't need to pay for it to test it. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

If you buy Veeam, you have to buy maintenance; if you don't buy maintenance, you cannot do updates, but it's recommended to have maintenance. If you want to have a small and cheap system, that is not Veeam; but if you want performance, reliability, support, then this solution is best for that. If you are looking into implementing Veeam Backup, you have to first do anassessment, then make a good plan, and do a pilot to check all the features and to compare the features with your expectations. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

On a scale of one to 10, I would say that Veeam Backup & Replication is one of the best, so I'd probably give it a nine. There is not one perfect backup product and I think one of the challenges with Veeam is the lack of clients. Meaning, we have certain older systems that there is no Veeam client for, and there's no incentive for Veeam to make the client for it. But it does VMware backups very well.

My advice is to determine whether the version they have is the correct one that they require, as Veeam has three different versions. I used the solution at my previous company. Currently, our organization is considering Veeam and Veritas and we are evaluating both to see which would be best for our company. I would advise other users to not do file copy jobs from Veeam. It's best to just use it for replication purposes. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten overall.
Veeam Backup & Replication is a great product for a virtual environment — it's really effective. From a technical point of view, it's very effective — I think they're doing great. Year after year, they announce many new features; they are definitely keeping up to date with the times. Many of their competitors have also released some sort of hardware as a repository together with their software. Still, I think that Veeam will stay software-only, which is fine. I think they're doing good. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup & Replication a rating of eight.

The solution is deployed both on-premises and to the cloud. There are 1,500 people making use of it. We require one person for its maintenance. While the documentation is good enough, it should be properly read. A person should read the manual and be experienced with the infrastructure of his computers and company servers. I would recommend Veeam Backup & Replication to others. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of eight. The only issue I have is with their technical support; otherwise, it's a great product. We chose Veeam because, according to Gartner and multiple reports, it's the number one product for virtualized infrastructure. We got the demo and began a POC on a couple of servers. It was good for performing backups, etc., but it's not about the product. The product is good, it's the service after the sale that you have to look out for. After the sale is complete, the service and support are what matters. This can make or break a product.

One thing that I enjoy with some open-source solutions is that they're normally the fastest to implement. With open source solutions, if I have a server and I need to backup something into a folder, either an internet folder, a shared folder on the local network, or a local storage folder, I do not have to have these folders open on the origin system. I only open these folders at the time of transmitting the files, and then they are closed automatically. This means I do not have these folders open if I don't need them because it's safer that way to prevent ransomware attacks and so on. As I said, don't trust the cloud. If you use the cloud, be sure to have a backup of the cloud. Testing is much more preferable on-premises. This on-premise location can be the local office of the company where you are doing it from, and also remote offices. Just don't use a cloud where you don't know where the server is. On-premises, when I say "cloud", I mean the internet. I can have an office in London, and if I want to back up on-premise, I do it on the local storage. I don't use general clouds like Azure. I have a server where I know where it is in some location and I remotely back up into that server. I don't buy storage on clouds. I'm really not a good customer for that. I don't trust them. They're excellent, they are really what people say are the future, but I have experienced too many disruptions on clouds. If I go into a software solution where I have to move the cloud, this obligates me to also have a solution to backup the cloud. I don't want to have these two solutions going from the office to the cloud and then also backing up the cloud — it's a nightmare. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of eight.
I would advise planning your deployments ahead of time and predicting space refinements so that you can set up everything correctly. If you need to change it later, it is a little more complicated. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.

My advice to anyone considering Veeam Backup & Replication would be to definitely demo it and see what you think about it because you can't try it before you buy it, and see how it works in your environment. I'm not too sure if there are any trials that go on for a month at a time, but it depends on the customer. If they decide that this is something good for them, then we move forward with it and adjust as we go. But the majority of our customers know what Veeam is and have seen the product out there, because I send a lot of information out via LinkedIn and send emails to my customers about those services. It would just depend on whether it was an attorney's office, a hospital, whatever he is, but those folks would want to have their data as quickly as possible. On a scale of one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup & Replication a 10.
A few months ago, about two months, I was in a meeting and I asked my service provider which version we were using. They said that we were using the latest version. I don't know if it's still the latest version, however, if it not the latest, it's almost the latest. We access our backup through a service provider. We're in the process of looking for more protection services to better guard against attacks. I'd advise those considering the solution to look carefully at the licensing. In the beginning, we experienced some troubles with the licensing models that were acquired by service provider. That caused some limitations. It was a major concern for us at first and might be a major concern for others. In general, I would recommend the solution. I'd rate it at an eight out of ten.

I recommend this solution because it's intuitive and rate it 10 out of 10.
I rate Veeam Backup Replication an eight out of ten.
I rate Veeam Backup and Replication eight out of 10. I recommend Veeam. It is simple and easy to use.
I highly recommend this solution and rate it nine out of 10.
I recommend this solution and rate it nine out of 10.
I rate Veeam Backup Replication a seven out of ten.
I would recommend this solution. I rate Veeam Backup Replication a seven out of ten.
The cost needs to be considered. I would rate Veeam Backup Replication an 8 out of 10.
It's very good solution. Very stable, very scalable, very fast. I would rate it a nine out of ten.
If you are looking into implementing this solution, I advise you to make a POC, understand your requirements, and make sure the solution you choose can provide what you want. I rate Veeam Backup an eight out of ten.
I would rate this solution eight out of ten.
This solution is very user-friendly and easily recoverable. I would rate this product as seven out of ten.
If you have virtual environments or databases, Veeam Backup Replication is a good solution. I would recommend it to others. I rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.
My advice is to determine whether the version they have is the correct one that they require, as Veeam has three different versions. As a result, you must determine which version is appropriate for your organization. That is a mistake that we have made in the past. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.
I would advise others to use it. It is a good system. I would rate it an eight out of 10.
I would rate it a nine out of 10.

I recommend this solution and rate it eight out of 10.
I rate Veeam Backup and Replication as an eight out of ten.
This can make or break a product.
don't do it i am busy getting a license for Veeam Office 365 for more than 2 weeks now !!!!! Veeam is now a product from Lenovo and you cant reach them
I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten overall. If it weren't for the pricing issues, I'd likely rate it higher. It's a really great solution in general.
We have the solution deployed both on-premises and on the cloud. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're quite satisfied with the solution overall. I'd recommend this solution to others.
I would definitely recommend this product. I rate this solution a nine out of 10.
I wouldn't really recommend this solution. In terms of the integration of this solution, we're finding it doesn't do everything it promises. There is a difference between what the sales people tell you and the reality. Because of the issues we've had, I rate this solution four out of 10.
Review the documentation and their knowledge base on how to set it up and configure it. It takes a bit to get it sorted out and to figure it out, but once you get it working it just keeps working. I would rate Veeam Backup Replication a nine out of ten.
I would recommend using this solution to others. I rate Veeam Backup Replication a ten out of ten.
My advice for anybody who is considering Veeam is that it's a good product. We do not have an environment that is user-centric, where I can make specific suggestions otherwise. We are currently using version 10 and plan to move to version 11 within the next two months. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
I would recommend this product to potential users. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup and Replication an eight.
Overall, this is quite a good product and I recommend it. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.
We have experience in both on-premises and cloud deployment models. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. While the on-premises deployment seems to be working well for us, the cloud has given us problems.
I would absolutely recommend this solution to others. I've been using it for a number of years and the bottom line is — it works very well and is simple to use. Within an hour or two, my customers are comfortable enough to be able to create their jobs and monitor job progress, etc. If it works for them, it works for me. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of nine.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup Replication a nine.
I would definitely recommend this solution to others. It can be deployed on-prem or on the cloud. They also have a new cloud-specific product. They have an agentless backup for Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, and Google Cloud, but you can still use Veeam Backup Replication on the cloud. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.
I would recommend this product. It is a very good product. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.
We are partners with Veeam. We have the solution on-premise in our data center. I have platforms in VMware and Hyper-V. I'd recommend the solution to other organizations. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.
I rate Veeam Backup Replication an eight out of ten.
This solution could be used as an alternative approach for migration from on-premise to cloud or for disaster recovery. If you have two data centers and you need to replicate the primary virtual machines to another site, this can be an option. I would recommend this solution to others. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.
Veeam is a good backup product but it definitely needs more complexity when it comes to supporting different types of systems and applications. That said, it works perfectly for how we use it in our Microsoft solutions and I know we will continue to use it. I would rate Veeam Backup and Replication a ten out of ten.
I rate this solution a nine out of 10.
I rate Veeam Backup Replication a seven out of ten.
I'm an integrator. Our organization is a Gold Partner with Veeam. Overall, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. It's pretty good.
It is a very good product. It does what it takes to backup virtual machines. It is easy to set up and it is very quick. So far, there isn't anything that I don't like and we are very happy with it. I would rate Veeam Backup Replication a nine out of ten.
For users who are interested in folder backup, I recommend Veeam. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
I would advise potential users to consider this solution and analyze it. See if this could be a good solution for their use case. Even though there's room for improvement, I believe it's a good solution. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup & Replication an eight.
Most of the time, we recommend Veeam because it's good enough. But in some environments, we don't see any reason for it and we recommend other solutions. Know your environment before choosing Veeam to ensure that it is suitable. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
For large enterprise companies, I would suggest IBM, but for small companies, I would recommend Veeam Backup & Replication. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I do not use the entire package with all of the features. However, there is nothing I need that isn't in the product. My advice for anybody who is considering Veeam is that for a small or medium-sized business, it is enough. However, for a larger organization, I would suggest Commvault. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I would recommend this product to others who are interested in using it. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
I would mostly recommend this product because it's easy to use and it is easy to install. On a scale of one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup & Replication a seven.
Overall, I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten.
I am looking forward to a new feature that is coming out in version 11 that allows you to lock your backups in a Linux backup repository. This will stop ransomware from destroying your backups. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
Veeam is very good. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Veeam Backup and Replication an eight.
This is absolutely a product that I recommend. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
Overall, we are happy with this software and have not found any limitations to it. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I would recommend this solution. From my point of view, I haven't had any issues with it. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a seven out of ten.
I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten. There are some features that they need to improve in Veeam, but it is perfect for most of the companies in Romania.
Don't waste your time. Go ahead and do it. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a ten out of ten.
In the near future, we will deploy the cloud version. I would rate the Veeam Backup Replication on-premises version a ten out of ten, and for the Cloud version specifically with Azure, I would rate them a four out of ten. I don't know how it performs with other Cloud providers.
It's important that the IT staff had training for VMs. There are many webinars and training courses. My staff doesn't think there is much of a need for training. They just do next, next, next. I would rate Veeam Backup Replication an eight out of ten. It's the best. It has simplified administration, simple installation, and a simple interface. I would recommend Veeam Backup Replication. It's good for our virtualization environments.
I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.
I would rate Veeam Backup a 10 out of 10.
I would rate Veeam Backup Replication a ten out of ten. In the next release, I would like for them to have block-based backups as well. But I don't know if they will do that because they've got all the functionalities to restore a system and it's working. If they would put it in, that would be fantastic, it will maybe even improve the performance when backing up. I would rate Acronis an eight out of ten. They're missing a lot and are still not very user-friendly.
Feature-wise, it is a good solution. You can install the free version of this solution to try it out. This free version is valid for 13 days. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication an eight out of ten.
I would recommend this solution. I have a good experience with this. I plan to keep using this product, but I am making comparisons with another solution, which provides better and higher performance when you have some synchronizing job for business continuity. I would rate Veeam Backup & Replication a nine out of ten.
We're just a customer. We don't have a business relationship with Veeam. We're using the standard version of the solution. While I'd advise others to look at other companies to compare, I do recommend Veeam. It's my understanding that 60% of IT companies use Veeam. It's very popular. Overall, I'd rate the solution six out of ten if I were to compare it to other versions of Veeam products. It's an okay solution. If it had an automatic check for backups, I'd rate it much higher.
I think that this is a good product across any environment. I've installed it for schools, in the financial industry, for lawyers, and places that vary in size from small to large. I've never had any issues and I recommend it. I know that there are always new features being released but at this point, there is nothing to say that I need anything more. That said, there is always room for improvement. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
My advice for anybody who is implementing this solution is to make sure that the sizing is correct. Having good or perfect sizing is the best thing that somebody can do for their company, and, if possible, to put more funds into analytics reporting so that they can provide intelligent sizing in advance. In fact, the biggest lesson that I have learned from using this solution is that you never want to have the wrong sizing. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
We are happy that we are using Veeam. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.
We're using the on-premises deployment model. The solution has some really nice features, but there is a lot of competition in the open-source market. I'd truthfully also prefer an open-source solution as well. I would rate the solution nine out of ten.
Since everyone's data is different, I would recommend a proof of concept project to understand how your data will be used within this solution. If you are intending to keep data for long-term retention, look at a dedicated deduplication appliance.
Veeam is a great product and always works. The product setup is easy and learning of the product for someone technical is straightforward. I look forward to the improvements in this product as it progresses.
