The licensing is yearly, and the cost is pretty reasonable. I've only used the standard licensing options. I don't have to pay for the extra costs. It's not the cheapest; I'd rate it around six out of ten, with ten being the highest and one the cheapest.
The huge problem I see is pricing. We understand that DLP is not cheap anywhere in the world, but we constantly lose our protection because of pricing. Sometimes, this is because end users prefer to have a second level of professional service. And then, when professional services are added to the cost, the cost jumps really, really high. Besides pricing, I think we’re good. Everything on the product is cool.
On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the solution a seven. The product is so expensive. There are so many more expensive solutions in the market. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing fees. It's a straightforward solution. So all features and all modules included in that SKU are already included in the price.

The licensing is based on a three-year contract. I'm not aware of the cost itself. The price negotiation is done by a different team. I wouldn't have insight into the exact cost. That said, my understanding is that it is competitive. I'd rate it 3.5 out of five in terms of affordability.

In terms of the price, it's different for a government user. The price on the market for one endpoint with all the protection needed is at least 25 euros. It depends on the product that we need to install, however. The number of endpoints can impact the price. If we try to sell 1000 endpoints compared to more than 1000, the price can change. When we sell the protection solution, we also sell the service of the security operation center. Then, our team also can manage the infrastructure of protection for the customer. The price is moderate for the market. I’d rate it a three out of five in terms of affordability.
The pricing is reasonable. Of course, it could always technically be cheaper, however, as a company that is a systems integrator, we tend to get more margin.
Data protection solutions are quite expensive, which is expected. I have had customers complain about the licensing costs of various solutions. Where I actually have issues with cost would be in the cloud. If you look at the MVISION portfolio, you see that the device control is not the same as on-premises. I am not sure which parts of the MVISION products actually have device controls with the encryption. The problem is that after seeing that single product within MVISION, in order to access it from the cloud, you still have to buy the full version of it. As we are on-prem and just beginning testing on the cloud, I am not exactly sure of the capabilities. I think that part of the pricing is confusing to a lot of end-users. When they purchase the license from us they see that they have device control. But when I get to the cloud, there is no device control. As resellers, that puts us in a bad place, because we have to explain it to the customer. They have to purchase something additional for device protection that they thought they already had. I think there was no communication about that change in the licensing when it was changed over to the cloud. So we had to take the initiative in doing other things when coaching our customers. There is always back and forth when doing consultations with the customers before we finally come to a configuration that is the right one for the client. I look at information online and then see they have device control on the cloud but then there is a question as to why the client is using device control in certain circumstances. There is a question as to why they are putting certain data on the cloud even. Some do not understand best practices and that putting data on the cloud is not the solution they want anyway.
Sensitive data is constantly at risk of loss, theft, and exposure. Many times, the data simply walks right out the front door on a laptop or USB device. Companies that suffer such a data loss risk serious consequences, including regulatory penalties, public disclosure, brand damage, customer distrust, and financial losses. According to a Ponemon Institute report, 7% of all corporate laptops will be lost or stolen sometime during their useful life. The rapid proliferation of mobile devices...

When it comes to pricing, I've observed an increase recently.
We pay an annual licensing fee for the product. It is bundled with the suite. It's pretty straightforward.

You do need to purchase a license in order to use the solution.

McAfee Complete Data Protection is a little bit expensive. The price could be lower. In regard to data loss prevention, we have different licensing.
I think the price could be a little bit less.
The pricing is better than that of some competing products.

This solution is reasonably priced.
I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
The price is good, it's a low-cost solution.
