The solution is moderately priced, where it is neither cheap nor expensive. The solution's pricing depends on how it is going to be utilized. Almost 5GB to 20GB of database would be free. Anything more than that needs to be procured, and then it'll be charged monthly. Users have to pay extra to own the license and for its maintenance.
Apex is not priced separately; instead, it is associated with the Oracle database. A free option for Oracle database and Apex can be downloaded and installed on this complimentary database version. This aligns with our current approach.

Oracle Application Express (APEX) is free, so this is another magic of the solution. You just get charged for the database license, which I don't need.
The pricing is very good and less expensive than Mendix or OutSystems. Pricing is a little bit higher than Microsoft products. Extra features can be purchased based on your needs. Identity access management and token authentication are a little bit costly.

To my understanding, my organization is using the free version of Oracle Application Express (APEX), but I'm unsure because I haven't checked the pricing or licensing cost for it.
Oracle Application Express (APEX) comes with Oracle. The Oracle price itself. I do not know the exact cost. Oracle is flexible on its price. If you overspend on your hardware, then I don't think you will overpay. I heard that Oracle is more expensive than other databases, but when you consider Oracle is the best traditional relational database out there. You get what you pay for.

Pricing is expensive overall on an enterprise system, but we consider that it gives corresponding value to the product. It becomes more expensive when more products are added to the main product. The Apex element itself is free to use, so it's useful for learning individually.

We have a full Oracle E-Business Suite license, and we use that license to develop applications. There's no license required for developing Oracle applications. It's just for the Oracle development tools we use until the final product is ready.

In my country I don't pay any license fees for Oracle APEX. Oracle APEX is a free license, but only Oracle APEX. The database and other products you need to go with it have a licensing fee. As far as additional costs, there are a lot of patches that we needed on the database and I think a lot of additional costs for peripheral things.
