The solution offers a complete module encompassing finance, material management, sales, and CRM. Additionally, plugins are available, including those for taxation, particularly for GST. In my work, I use this application extensively to manage our services. Since our company primarily deals with services, it helps in inventory tracking, maintenance, and service management. The application offers end-to-end visibility, allowing me to monitor various aspects such as vendor shipments, warehouse inventory, items in transit, and documentation related to taxation and transportation.
SAP business one feature used are the following: CRM, sales AR, purchase AP, production, service, inventory, Material Requirements Planning, opportunities, administration for business models like LCD machinery suppliers, home and appliance suppliers, LED sell, and RMA suppliers. We also use the solution for project implementation. We started from scratch and migrated from IBM mainframe ERP to SAP business one 2004. We also started from scratch and migrated from TW local ERP to SAP Business One 2005. We started from SAP Business One 9.3 and migrated to SAP S4H 1809, including PO/SO/WO.
In our current business context, we are part of the retail industry. Normally, we purchase products from overseas vendors, and then we resell those products. We may do DLP (Delivery Processing) and all. But after that, we store the products in the warehouse. Finally, we have a Salesforce automation system, which collects the sales orders and transfers them to SAP Business One. It is an integrated system with SAP Business One. Then, to process sales, our users raise the invoices. At the warehouse location, we deliver the goods to the end-users. This business operates as B2B (Business-to-Business), and we handle a considerable volume of transactions. We deal with automotive items such as spare parts, tires, and other products in our portfolio. In the backend, the finance team prepares the financial statements through the SAP system. They book payments, process bank transactions, and more. So, this is an integrated process, and we use all the modules of SAP Business One, except for the production module, as we don't have any production requirements in retail. However, we have one subsidiary. When we implement SAP Business One for that particular aspect, we will use the production module. Currently, we have a small area where we assemble sales kits for combining items into one particular product. So, with the new implementation, we will use all the modules, enabling us to get comprehensive financial reports. That's the background of our usage.
