It's an advanced data warehousing solution, so it supports real-time analytics, data warehousing, and consolidation. Advanced analytics and data exploration are other use cases.

SAP BW and SAP BO offer features like an on-premises product, and both the products are catered to users using SAP S/4HANA and SAP SAC, making them products that are leveraged and facilitated by customers who want to use some specific features.

SAP BW4HANA runs only on SAP HANA, and it has certain additional enhancements and capabilities that are possible because of BW4HANA. There are very few use cases. I haven't seen many customers using SAP BW4HANA or even SAP BW because there are so many BI applications around nowadays.

We primarily use the solution for analyzing all the enterprise data and pushing it out on a corporate dashboard for the leadership team to have a tab of production, revenues, manufacturing, et cetera.

We are consultants and distributors for BW4HANA. SAP wants to transition all of their customers to the cloud, so they have announced a lot of policies that will support the on-premise product until 2024 or 2025. That's a good opportunity for us to transition our customers to the cloud.

SAP BW/4HANA acts as a singular point of service for the enterprise data warehousing platform in order to consolidate and generate single source of truth for the organizational-wide and reporting & analytics solution. Initial Go-Live of the solution was on an on-premise edition, recently transitioned to an IAAS solution hosted on a hyperscaler. The current version of the solution is on version 2.0. Currently, there are more than 1000 users. On a weekly basis, there are around 500 users who access the analytical reports and dashboards through the system to make informed business decisions, ad-hoc reporting and analytics is performed by using the Analysis for Microsoft Office package, Microsoft Power BI is visualization/dashboarding tool. The user base is active and extensive, the user base is business centric, We conduct training sessions whenever there is a rollout of business requirements, and then users are brought on board. We give them detailed end-to-end training on how to leverage the tool. There's an infrastructure team that supports the application.

We are using HANA for dashboarding. HANA is like a database for the system where we create dashboards using business planning and consolidation on AE4 and EPM. Five or six people are on the business warehouse team managing BW/4HANA, and I'm the architect, so I help them.
