As a storage, it doesn't have many disadvantages. The problem with Huawei is that it generally oversells. As a principle, Huawei does not educate the partner or the end user enough to scale up their solution correctly. When it comes to the storage part, if you understand how to utilize it properly, then it is a very good solution.
I hope for improvements in the product's processing ability and performance. Also, streamlining the user interface would be beneficial. Overall, it is a solid and mature product with room for refinement.
I'd like to see better product maturity including their branding on the cloud environment. Their cloud services are not up to that of AWS, Azure or Oracle cloud platforms.
One place where this product should be improved is in the deployment. It should be made easier and the time should be reduced. The number of software packages could be minimized and with a little effort, the deployment time can be streamlined and the time reduced.
