VMware Live Recovery customer service varies, but technical support is generally responsive and helpful, with minor delays reported.
Whenever I have a question, they respond very quickly each time.
The support takes too much time to respond to callbacks.
They are knowledgeable.
The technical support from VMware is very good and operates based on a service level.

Acronis Cyber Protect offers scalable growth and flexibility, though some users report issues with specific databases and backup durations.
Sentiment score
7.4
VMware Live Recovery is praised for scalability and ease of use, despite challenges with compatibility and configuration issues.
Acronis Cyber Protect is a scalable product.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score
7.4
Acronis Cyber Protect is generally stable, with minor setup challenges and occasional performance issues during large backups.
Sentiment score
7.5
VMware Live Recovery is reliable with some upgrade challenges, receiving positive ratings for stability and compatibility, despite occasional issues.
The stability of Acronis Cyber Protect is very high.

Room For Improvement

Acronis Cyber Protect needs UI improvements, better support, enhanced backups, compatibility, and cloud integration to address user concerns.
VMware Live Recovery struggles with stability, integration, and costs, requiring usability improvements and better support, licensing, and management.
The Protect environment should automatically secure the last backup screens to prevent any changes, even by an admin.
Acronis Cyber Protect could be more affordable, especially for us in South America.
It's important for the cost to be justified based on the features used in production.
I would like to see improved integration services with other solutions, such as SIEM management or security monitoring.
The licensing area needs improvement as the cost per virtual machine is high.

Setup Cost

Acronis Cyber Protect offers reasonable pricing and good value, though complex pricing may challenge evaluators, especially for smaller environments.
VMware Live Recovery can be costly, especially for smaller enterprises, compared to alternatives like Veeam or Nutanix.
I would rate the price as nine out of ten.
Previously, when acquiring a license for Ethiopian drug supply chains, the price was significantly high, especially after Broadcom joined VMware.
For cloud-based solutions, the cost seems quite pricey, so we stick to on-premises deployment.

Valuable Features

Acronis Cyber Protect provides comprehensive backup, security features, and management tools, ensuring data protection across multiple platforms for businesses.
VMware Live Recovery offers automated disaster recovery with seamless integration, minimizing downtime and enhancing business continuity across industries.
The NASDAQ level CFS level backup is the feature I find most beneficial for our data protection strategy.
This is beneficial because any backup package stored in the cloud is not free, and if it shrinks well, it allows users to pay less for cloud storage.
It is used for data replication between data centers and allows for quick response in times of failure, ensuring data availability.
The solution offers a rich set of features, well adapted in the market.
The capability and the functionality of the features are very helpful for us.

Good backup solution but challenges with the stability
It is recommended that people know what they are starting with. A part of our challenge was we bought and needed to implement it. So by the time we went to implement it, we were running into support issues. Also, make a market comparison to ensure that the product you choose is what you want to end up with. I would give it a six out of ten because restoring from a backup takes longer than usual. It should happen in a matter of hours, not a matter of days. We are yet to have an experience when trying to restore from Acronis that we haven't had to wait at least a couple of days for our server to be available for testing or working.
