Offers unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email
My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem. Recent versions shouldn't be a problem with at least 16GB of RAM. Bitdefender should have its own app security built in. After integrating SIEM solutions and log collecting, they could have app security built on top of that. For each application, especially when dealing with financial data, if there was an option for data breach control, that would be fantastic. Because nowadays, people are using the internet from home, and we don't know what network they're connecting to. For situations where the network security is questionable, having a security control built into the antivirus would be essential. It's a common requirement nowadays.

The ease of installation and licensing are also significant advantages
We use the application filtering, content filtering, and intrusion prevention system (IPS) features. These features are crucial for our network security. The ease of installation and licensing are also significant advantages, as it allows us to have one license for all products, which simplifies upgrading and maintenance. Additionally, the ease of deployment is critical for us.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product is a good standard security tool."
"The solution is very scalable."
"Virus scan and the ability to remotely install are valuable features. Being able to manage everything in one place and set different policies and rules for different computer types are very useful features. It also has ransomware protection. It is very simple to use, and it is very effective."
"It is very easy to configure and deploy."
"It takes lesser energy from the system than the rest. So, we tried it for five years, and it works quite well. So we have continued with it. And the pricing is competitive as well."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running."
"Protection is the most valuable feature."
"It is easy for me to go in and update settings, make changes, or add/remove rules or security."
"The valuable features are threat prevention to work like Jira Trust Network Access."
"The ease of installation and licensing are also significant advantages, as it allows us to have one license for all products, which simplifies upgrading and maintenance."
"Juniper is more flexible with the commit check and the commit confirmed command. The design of the forwarding and contract plan in the operating system is very important for the performance when we have very big traffic."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The tool's most valuable features are routing features and service quality."
"There are a few valuable features that offer very good quality on the solution. Especially NetScreen. We used to use NetScreen for the the product line. It was a very mature solution, very robust, easy to configure, easy to manage, etc. It made it easy to do everything."
"The support is excellent."

Cons

"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem."
"There are compatibility concerns as Bitdefender does not support Windows 7."
"The price of the bandwidth here is very expensive compared to European countries."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."
"Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."
"The security features as per customers' requirements should be improved."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"The GUI needs to be faster."
"In the next release, I would like to see improvements made to the GUI because it isn't very good."
"I would like to see an activity sensor for malicious content or sensor for viruses and malware."
"It should also support modern data technologies like zero-day protection and zero-trust network access."
"They really need to improve the GUI."
"We worked with Cisco's support and Juniper's support and there are some differences, to be honest, Cisco is more available and is more competent at addressing our cases."
"It could use more tutorials."
"I would suggest improving the pricing, particularly the licensing model."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The price is fair."
"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"The solution could have been cheaper."
"The solution is pricey."
"The ongoing licensing cost seems to be pretty standard. There are no additional costs."
"We like pricing through the AWS Marketplace."
"As a customer, the pricing is good for us."
"Our experience purchasing the solution through the AWS Marketplace was good."
"After some research, I think that the cost of Juniper is more than Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet."
"It is not that costly."
