Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.

Pros

"The tool is designed to scale for large enterprises and handle large volumes of data."
"What I like about Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is that it is a comprehensive solution that contains everything the organization may need when using endpoints."
"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"The most valuable features are the fact that it was running in the background and it would intercept any weird stuff, and the fact that it would send things directly to the cloud for sandboxing. It's quite practical."
"The most valuable feature of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is the low consumption of system resources. The solution uses a lot of AI and machine learning."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks's ability to block sophisticated threats in real time is quite good and is on par with SentinelOne's."

"Based on my experience, I would recommend Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks to other people."
"You will always have a backup copy of any policy the Bitdefender user defines."
"The product offers an opportunity to monitor the things happening in our network. It also has a comprehensive dashboard."

"There are many features available in this solution, such as asset management."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives."

Cons

"If he is using a smaller company, he can depend on some other tools because Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a bit expensive."
"The solution should enhance the ADR and reporting."

"I recommend adding a data loss prevention (DLP) solution to Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks. The inclusion of this feature would allow the application of DLP policies alongside antivirus policies via a single agent and console, making it more competitive as other OEMs often offer DLP solutions as part of their antivirus products."
"Currently, we are monitoring all USB drives and ports but we would like to improve our device control capabilities."
"It should support more mobile operating systems. That is one of the cons of their infrastructure right now."
"The tool needs to be improved in terms of integration and interface."
"The security features as per customers' requirements should be improved."
"Because we bought Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security via Rectron as a distributor, they need to upskill their distributors."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big."
"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"Sometimes the response takes more time than usual because level three support does not exist in Brazil."

"The initial setup should be made easier."
"The solution's stability could be better."
"The stability is zero, Seqrite doesn't work, and the company doesn't accept the problems."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"In the next version, they should improve the areas of utility and centralized control."
"The cost of the solution can be improved."
"When it comes to the support provided by the product, I see that Seqrite is not as mature as the other products in the market."
"The solution could integrate with other products to provide a comprehensive protection strategy."
"The interface is slow."
"The solution could improve by providing better security and a cloud base version."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is on the higher side, but it's okay."
"It's way too expensive, but security is expensive. You pay for your licensing, and then you pay for someone to monitor the stuff."
"The price was fine."
"The price of the solution could be reduced. I have customers that have voiced that the solution is good for the value but if I want to sell more of the solution the price reduction would help."
"The cost of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is $55 to $90 USD per endpoint per month."
"I don't like that they have different types of licenses."
"Our customers have expressed that the price is high."
"It is present, but when compared to other competitive products, I would say it is not less expensive; however, when all of the other added values are considered, the price is reasonable."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Endpoint Security is cheaper than Trend Micro."
"The license isn't expensive."
"You need to pay for a yearly license for Seqrite Endpoint Security, which is expensive."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis. Compared to other solutions, this solution is cheaper."
"The solution's pricing is good for us, where it is neither cheap nor expensive."
"There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market."
