Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.

With DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities, the solution also offers great technical support
The most valuable features of the solution are DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities. It is a lightweight solution with good features, allowing for application control. The solution also offers good DLP features, and our company recently upgraded to use its XDR features. The solution's XDR features work smoothly in our company. With the lightweight nature of the solution and its features, my team was required to deploy the solution in our company. Our company also receives good support from Seqrite, which was one of the main reasons we chose the solution since we could get help if we faced any issues with the solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Cortex XDR is a very capable solution for protecting large networks and a lot of endpoints. It's very useful because the automation is very high, and if you combine it with the features on Palo Alto firewalls, it provides very strong protection."
"The policy configuration is great, the granularity of policies that are available is very helpful, it is straightforward to set up, and it has pretty much everything we need and works well within the Palo Alto ecosystem."
"It's very stable. I've never experienced downtime for the ASM console or ASM core."
"I generally believe that Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is probably the best in the market right now."
"I recommend this solution to others because it is easy to manage, reliable, and overall good to use."
"Cortex XDR is stable, offering high quality and reliable performance."
"Technical support is the best in class, in my opinion, because they have invested heavily in research and development."
"We have a complete overview of all our PCs and it's very easy to handle and to use the interface. It has a lot of benefits for us."
"The solution is very scalable."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"It is perfectly stable. We haven't received any complaints from customers regarding stability or performance. It's been smooth sailing so far."
"It takes lesser energy from the system than the rest. So, we tried it for five years, and it works quite well. So we have continued with it. And the pricing is competitive as well."
"There are no real issues with it and it works well."
"The installation is easy and it takes approximately a few hours."
"When it comes to the web, according to our customers, this product stands out due to its superior performance compared to others."
"BitDefender has improved our security by protecting our endpoints and servers from viruses and exchange server attacks with its inbuilt on access scan feature."
"The most valuable features are the file activity monitors, DLP solutions, and application controls."
"We found the DLP to be innovative and useful."
"The solution is stable."
"We were excited about the cloud-based management features of Seqrite and were looking to use the same."
"The update process and policy control are good."
"I like Seqrite's web protection features and external device control."
"Seqrite Endpoint Security provides external protection in terms of hard drives."
"The most valuable features of the solution are DLP, XDR, and EDR functionalities."

Cons

"We had a problem with getting our older endpoints up to date, but their newest updates have been really good. I've been pleased with it in terms of what our needs are. It's doing what we want it to do."
"In terms of areas of improvement, we have not completed our review of the product. We're also looking at other products. So, it's a little bit hard to tell what could be different because we have not completed the review of this product, but based on our experience so far, its implementation is quite complex."
"The solution should add unwanted malicious hash values to a block list so that whenever the action is triggered, it will automatically prevent the malicious content."
"However, if you do not have Palo Alto in your environment, you are paying these additional services just for Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, so it is not a cost-effective solution."
"I am facing issues with customer support for Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks, so I am not satisfied with customer support."
"Cortex XDR could be improved with more GUI features."
"The solution should enhance the ADR and reporting."
"I would like to see improvement in the tool's user interface, particularly in the area of managing alerts and providing more reporting capabilities."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security could improve the RDP, I have problems sometimes."
"My advice to others is not to implement this solution. There are better solutions in the market."
"I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The phishing feature report showed zero results, and the patch management component is one of the two main issues that need improvement."
"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"I think it would be helpful if I could get a live console directly on the machine. Additionally, if I could run scripts on the machines to respond to any incidents, that would be a great feature."
"We would like the solution to have integration with other security solutions so that we can have a single base for monitoring all the security incidents and concerns."
"The solution's integration capabilities are moderate and could be improved."
"Endpoint Security would be improved by adding DLP."
"I would like to see Seqrite add a remote profile so we can implement different policies for users connecting to the in-office LAN and those accessing the office network from home or a public internet connection."
"Sometimes, small and medium businesses, or even startups with just five, ten, or fifteen systems, are also keen to secure their data. There is a reluctance on the part of the technical team to extend installation support when the opportunity sizes are smaller. Seqrite Endpoint Security has a lot of value. Still, its marketing could be done much better on a larger scale, especially in India, in light of the new DPDP 2023 Act, which the Indian Parliament passed. It would be even more valuable if Seqrite could incorporate features to help companies comply with this law, it would be even more helpful."
"A handbook of known issues and quick fixes should be given so that troubleshooting and frustration are less."
"I don't feel that the scalability part of Seqrite Endpoint Security is better than the other products in the market."
"The pricing could be a bit lower."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a little high. It is per user per year."
"Traps pays for itself within the first 16 months of a three-year subscription. This is attributed to OPEX savings, as security teams spent less time trying to identify and isolate malware for analysis as a result of a reduction in malware incidents, false positives, and breach avoidance."
"This is an expensive solution."
"The pricing is a little bit on the expensive side."
"We didn't have to pay any additional fee for the cloud instance. It just came with the renewal, which was nice."
"The tool's price is moderate."
"When we first bought it, it was a bit expensive, but it was worth it. The licensing was straightforward."
"The price was fine."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The tool is not expensive and pricing is competitive."
"The general basic price is roughly $1.20 for a license with Bitdefender."
"The price is fair."
"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"Licensing fees are on a yearly basis. Compared to other solutions, this solution is cheaper."
"We pay approximately $1,500 for licenses for the solution."
"The solution has reasonable pricing. There is one pricing without any hidden charges. They have to pay once a year or three years."
"We get the tool for around 1200 rupees for a three-year subscription. I rate its pricing a nine out of ten."
"My company needs to purchase a yearly subscription for the licensing costs for Seqrite Endpoint Security."
"There is no option to refund the money and unfortunately, we bought a three-year license, seeing that Quick Heal is a long-established player in the market."
