Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Easy to set up with good security and rapidly improving capabilities
In terms of stability, the performance parameters do come into play. It's good on the regular office front, however, on the development side, if somebody is using it in a development environment, they need to make some configuration changes in terms of what directories should be excluded from the real-time scanning. I had to do that kind of stuff. I don't do that with the Microsoft product, for example. It runs, and it scans the entire system with no issues. The solution is stable. Regular updates were available in the product versions. They were updated, and they gave regular signature updates also so that the product checked all the boxes.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"When it comes to the web, according to our customers, this product stands out due to its superior performance compared to others."
"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"We find the protection the solution provides valuable."
"The domain integrator functionality is particularly noteworthy, allowing me to leverage my existing network infrastructure."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"I find the main valuable feature to be the antivirus, it is very effective with removing viruses."
"The solution has very useful MDM features."
"ESET is the fastest solution on the market. It's also highly reliable. On top of the base configuration, you can set it to respond to events such as ransomware detection with network isolation and other automatic tasks. Our customers prefer ESET because it's reliable, fast, and light on system resources."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is easy to use and maintain while also being fully encrypted."
"The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle."
"The potential threat protection feature is the most valuable. In the event that one of my computers is not on the network and gets a virus, ESET Endpoint Security quickly detects the malware, and in most cases, it removes the virus. It also has the ability to remotely shut down the computer. I like the remote control part the most."
"This solution does not slow down your systems. It is very light."
"The pricing is good."

Cons

"The tool needs to improve patch and vulnerability management."
"The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."
"My main concern is that it's a bit heavy for some devices. Like Kaspersky or McAfee, it uses more RAM or memory. Similar to that, it causes issues for users and their own resources, similar to that. If you deploy on old legacy devices with only 1GB of RAM, then it could be a problem."
"We had experienced a crash and had to reinstall it."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security could improve the RDP, I have problems sometimes."
"The solution could be more user-friendly."
"The user interface of ESET Endpoint Security could be more user-friendly and more features could be added."
"They recently released an EDR integration. I hope they have more AI or intelligence filtering on the EDR events. Even though it has already got AI, but it is quite a different thing. So, they still have room to improve on the EDR part. This is one small piece that they need to improve. Otherwise, it is just fine."
"I'm not aware of any areas that need improvement."
"The product’s AI implementation feature could be better for learning user behavior."
"After we did the initial setup of ESET Endpoint Security, we had to inform users about popups. This solution comes with an in-built software firewall and there can be some popups coming. We must tell the user not to keep, allow, or block anything. That is the main issue on the user side we have faced. The user's experience may not be as good."
"I would like for ESET to create a central management solution. This would make it practical to use the internet for medium-sized networks."
"It's not a huge thing, because it doesn't happen very often, but I'll notice sometimes, when there's a startup scan, the computer does bog down a little bit. However, this happens rarely."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The price is fair."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"The tool's pricing structure is good. We use an annual subscription."
"Its price is reasonable."
"I'd have to look through my records, however, we paid maybe $600 to $1000 for this product."
"I think it's available for a pretty fair price. If you know how to use it, then it's a very fair price for what you get."
"The pricing can be a bit more flexible."
"I do a two or three-year license for less than $100."
"You need to pay for the ESET Endpoint Antivirus license monthly or yearly, whichever you choose."
"It's a cost-effective product"
"It is just under $20 a user per year, and there are no additional costs. I would rate it a five out of five in terms of pricing."
