Video library is a great tool and it enables good customization; feels a little antiquated and rusty
I like that recordings are available immediately, it's a great feature. I also appreciate being able to use the video library as a tool, and the integration of an API with other systems we have. We were able to build our own customer portal and then integrate into GoToWebinar with a seamless interface. People thought they were on our platform, but they were using GoToWebinar. Those are unique features that seemed to be very easy for our development team to integrate. I like that aspect of it. It also provides good visibility if somebody had seen a webinar that was useful. It's very easy to push them out. Registration is an easy process as is customization on the back end. We very rarely had technical issues running the webinars so it's a pretty robust platform overall.

Collaborating in hybrid incident calls has become faster while the meeting interface still needs fixes
The best features are the ability to schedule meetings and launch ad hoc meetings. Additionally, we can create breakout rooms within the meeting itself, which is another excellent feature. Whenever we have production issues, many teams join a single Webex call. Sometimes we need to group together as separate smaller groups and work in parallel to identify the production issues. In those cases, we create Webex breakout rooms and each member joins the corresponding breakout session to progress on their task. Webex helps significantly in the hybrid environment. When we are working from home, it is very easy for us to meet with other team members and the management to get in touch and progress. Webex improves communication because even if we are working from home, we can connect with people and talk to them on a video call. It has improved the incident resolution time by getting into a call in Webex rooms and remediating the issues together as soon as possible. Audio and video quality is excellent for Webex. It has saved considerable time in terms of incident remediation. Whenever we have issues, we jump on a call and work together in parallel. This approach saves time and improves efficiency.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Overall, this is a good product that is simple to use but I would rather use Webex for video conferencing."
"The most valuable feature is scheduling, which is quite simple and you can schedule a regular session with multiple occurrences."
"The interface is browser-based and simple, which is an advantage over other solutions."
"We were able to build our own customer portal and then integrate into GoToWebinar with a seamless interface."
"We use GoToWebinar to do live pitch webinars and sales webinars, we use it to create all of our courses as well, we do training courses and our business pretty much revolves around using this tool for most of what we do."
"GoToWebinar polls help me quickly gauge, upfront, the audience’s interest in topics and their current level of knowledge."
"Scalability is good as you can host webinars with hundreds of participants without any lagging."
"I can extract the activity and the attendance reports, along with every single question that was asked during the webinar, which is a feature that we highly value."
"I like how Webex lets you zoom in and out on the presenter's screen. It's silly, but all the solutions have the same features, and I think WebEx is the only one that allows zoom."
"What we like about Webex is that it's easy to use, and it's easy to set meetings and connect to meetings on this solution."
"Webex is user-friendly."
"Webex has helped me to give my customers a much faster response without the need to mobilize, so it avoids transport costs and times."
"My advice is that people make use of the cloud-based solution, as opposed to the on-premises one, because it is easy and very good."
"I like that it can accommodate larger groups of listeners. I think in my client's organization, they use Webex for meetings with a larger group of listeners. I believe Skype For Business is not preferred. I think they use Webex or their own custom platform because it accommodates more users in one meeting."
"Webex helps us collaborate better. We can work with customers and our team in real-time, share screens, and use a whiteboard. It's been really helpful."
"Cisco is a pioneer in this particular technology. The features and technology have been adopted and they have been integrated with other solutions."

Cons

"The platform feels old and a little rusty, more could be invested into the look and feel of it."
"In comparison, I don't feel that GoToWebinar has the range of customization and it feels quite antiquated in comparison to Teams."
"It's a little pricier than the others."
"GoToWebinar would be improved with the inclusion of support for video endpoints."
"The chat window and using polls is easier in Zoom than compared to GoToWebinar. Make it simpler and easier to publish polls on the fly would improve the solution."
"Some of my friends also use GoToWebinar to collect clients for affiliate marketing. In those cases, they found some features were missing with respect to some of the competition. And the worst part is the price."
"The sharing of cameras is limited to meeting organizers."
"The technical support is quite bad."
"Webex is limited to Cisco."
"Better integration with other solutions would benefit Webex."
"The only thing that seems a bit cumbersome is when you're on a machine without the right environment and the app takes awhile to start."
"To co-facilitate and have all the features, e.g., mute or unmute learners, assign permissions, etc. seems to be difficult."
"Webex could be improved by having a password-protected system. I don't remember there being any passwords for the meetings, but, presently, Zoom has meeting protection."
"Cisco could maybe make Webex more integrated and compatible with other platforms."
"The initial implementation was a bit difficult. If they could simplify that aspect of the solution, it would be helpful for future users."
"There could be a feature available to record the meetings."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a monthly subscription and the price is quite expensive if you're not paying annually."
"This is a free solution."
"The price of the license depends a lot on the type of service required and whether it is for the entire company or only for a few users."
"You can opt for yearly licensing with Webex."
"My organization took care of the licensing. I'm guessing they did some subscription cycle, but I used the free version."
"There are no licensing fees."
"This is an expensive product compared to Teams and it should be cheaper."
"I have recently switched to a different solution. WebEx is more costly. There are equivalent solutions at a lower cost."
"There is a need to pay the licensing charges to use Webex Enterprise Edition."
"The price of the license for the solution could be less expensive."
