End-to-end partner management, quick partner onboarding and deep understanding of partner relationships
I like Impartner PRM's deep understanding of partnering; the tool understands and the tool enables you to sign up partners very quickly and give them the tools and the access they require to do what they need to do. So it can take a partner all the way from forming an interest with an organization all the way through to selling, then reselling, and then managing their partners. It's very easy for you to introduce new products. It's a complete solution - it manages and gives access to the partners so that they can see and work with the internal sales teams for the organizations as well as the customers. So, as you're moving it through the pipeline, both the salesperson from the company and also the partner can see where it is in the pipeline, when it's likely to close, and any issues or problems. So, it enables the partnering organization and the technology company to work together very well. It's a very good communication tool. So, it's through the Impartner portal of this tool. I have seen some improvements in communication with the partners. But it is heavily dependent on how it's set up, but it's very easy and quick to set up. However, it's very much dependent on the person setting it up knowing what they're doing. It certainly has analytics. It can analyze training, for instance, whether or not the training is successful. Often, working with a CRM tool like Salesforce will analyze how long it takes partners to start to become successful and how long it takes to sign them up. Then, it can start looking at which products are being sold and where there are issues with products. So, the reporting part is very straightforward. But, the reporting is only as good as the system's setup and the discipline of partners who input data into it.

Infinitely customizable, good end-to-end sales and customer management processes but lacks good documentation
Essentially, it's the CRM solution for managing customers and leads. The features that had the most significant impact on our sales efficiency include flexibility, regular updates, and very good end-to-end sales and customer management processes. AI and machine learning are on the agenda for next year. Initially, it will be very silo-based, but eventually, we'll be integrating MIBI data into our solution. Sales Cloud's reporting and analytics capabilities influenced our sales strategy quite a lot. We can build every report as a dashboard, and there are various sorts of things. We are using Tableau as our MIBI analytic solution, which is also owned by Salesforce these days.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution has helped us improve all across the board. Everything that we did before PRM was a one-off. We shared the content back and forth through emails. Whenever there was a scope for training or enablement, a mail would be sent on the same. The solution has helped us scale where partners could use opportunities to get trained on our services and products."
"I like Impartner PRM's deep understanding of partnering; the tool understands and the tool enables you to sign up partners very quickly and give them the tools and the access they require to do what they need to do."
"I would recommend that others interested in the solution use it because it provides a user-friendly setup process. It's easy to navigate through the setup process."
"The most valuable features of the solution are reporting and dashboards."
"It is a very good tool. There are a lot of interesting features. It is one of the best solutions."
"I would recommend Sales Cloud for anyone who has a sales team that needs to be optimized and for any size of enterprise."
"We can also customize Salesforce Sales Cloud to our customer's company requirements. As for your demand, you can customize it. There are so many configurations we can do with the application. There is a lot of functionality that you can implement. It's an easy-to-use, user-friendly, and secure platform."
"The most valuable features of Salesforce Sales Cloud are code hub management and sale opportunity management."
"It has custom fields and custom reports which can align to our business objectives and marketing focus."
"You can capture all the contacts that relate to an account or business, including personal details."
"Contact records are most valuable."

Cons

"I would like to see some easy ways in retrieving reports, data analytics, etc. The solution needs to be more specific from the data reporting perspective. It would make it easier to drill down by specific partners. It would be interesting to see some integrations and partnerships for the solution where they could make use of the account mapping tools."
"The business using the tool must be well-prepared in terms of partner strategy."
"It would be helpful to have an improved reporting tool in the solution."
"The areas revolving around archiving and backup in Salesforce Sales Cloud are not as advanced as some of the other solutions in the market."
"Applications that can help with migrating data over from the sandbox to production would make it easier because sometimes change sets can be bulky and they're not always as effective. This can be frustrating when you make a lot of changes and try to put those changes into production."
"I think the user experience could be improved. I would like the user interface to be a bit more user-friendly and modern."
"The reporting features and the dashboard must be improved."
"We have a very broad set of products at our company. The process to get that information accurately into the Sales Cloud system could use improvement. It shouldn't take weeks of time. The process of identifying products that are being sold for forecasting purposes and sales tracking purposes is too hard."
"I need to do a lot of customization to implement an ERP solution for an energy and utilities client versus a BFS client. Salesforce should look at the common customizations each client wants and see how much of that can be standardized into industry-specific specific solutions. That would speed up implementation, so we don't need to go through the same steps a hundred times. Salesforce could do it once and put it out for the rest of the clients to use it."
"The user interface could be more intuitive. I had some challenges with how to convert from a lead to an opportunity."
"There are also certain restrictions on the reports in terms of the number of records. Ideally, that should be removed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution’s pricing is higher compared to other competitor products."
"The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. It has a different pricing for 0-100 and another for 100-500 users."
"The subscription is on a monthly basis."
"We have a yearly license, and there are no hidden costs. Considering the Indian market, the pricing is reasonable. I don't consider it to be on the high side."
"Implementation and add-ons may be additional costs."
"Sales Cloud is quite expensive."
"The licensing fees are reasonable."
"The price of Salesforce Sales Cloud could be reduced. It is expensive."
"My understanding is that Salesforce is a little bit expensive, but in terms of the efficiencies, automation, and visibility, I think it's definitely value for money."
