Program adapts to our requirements and handles our operations effectively
The interface we use currently needs enhancement, as I am still using the outdated green screens. I would benefit for us to adpot the latest INFOR user interface, which is a more integrated interface. Additionally, improvements in warehouse handling with handheld terminal, quality management in warehouses, and managing a dual sourcing strategy would be beneficial. I have had to build my own applications for some features that are lacking, and aligning all components for uncertainty management in the market is necessary.

The amazing, robust framework with unlimited scalability earns its #1 status
The solution is not ready for the current e-commerce environment. Its was built for large enterprises who need to predictably optimize their human, material, and financial resources. ERP has evolved and businesses are changing. There are not many large corporations. Most are small enterprises with the capabilities of large enterprises through networking and platform integration. Some companies promote products but get things done with other enterprises as a network. Companies do not want to create new capacity but want to leverage existing capacity with innovative products. They do not want to spend resources on duplicating capacity or facilities. I do not think any ERP product is ready to support this environment so ERPs as a whole might end up being used for back-office functions only. It is not easy to evolve an ERP product because its intent is to integrate functions and processes within an organization. Whereas, in the new business model, processes are not limited to one's own enterprise but cut across different enterprises. There is no enterprise solution as this point in time for the current e-commerce environment so companies must integrate with many solutions.

"It is a utility-focused solution, and the deployment is very much aligned with utility service providers. If you look at the supply chain and the overall business model of a utility service provider, SAP is something that fits very well. That's because the company has invested tremendously in creating appropriate workflows pertaining to this segment or domain."
"The solution is very mature."
"Continuing to use it enabled continuity of business."

Cons

"The user interface of Infor LX needs significant enhancement to be more user-friendly."
"It lacks in finance and administration, especially related to Italian accounting."
"Infor's support side is not that good, and they seem to be focusing on other products above LX."

"The user interface of Infor LX needs significant enhancement to be more user-friendly."
"The interface needs enhancement, as I am still using outdated screens."
"It could be more flexible, and the company should be able to adapt the system. Not the other way around. It's very rigid and difficult to change. Reporting could also be better."
"SAP ERP is scalable. We have some five to ten thousand SAP ERP users."
"Although you can use SAP as a Warehouse Management System, and you don’t need any other program for that purpose, it is not enough as a Transportation Management System. You need another program which is integrated with SAP."
"Lacks sufficient technical support with slow response times."
"There are a lot of manual tasks that are used by a lot of people, so it is a very good candidate for RPA."
"Functionality could be improved."
"The initial setup of SAP ERP is complex and it took a lot of time."
"It's difficult to code; structured language is difficult."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing is variable due to different deals and discounts, typically starting at around $2000 US dollars for one license."
"Infor LX is not cheap but much cheaper compared to SAP HANA."

"We pay annually for the use of this solution."
"SAP is quite expensive."
"The price of SAP ERP is high, but it is worth the money. The maintenance and support can be expensive. There should be a different price model for businesses that are not as large to be able to afford it."
"I rate SAP ERP's pricing a six or seven out of ten."
"SAP ECC is not cheap but I consider it the best system for managing an organization's data and processes."
"It could always be cheaper. They don't have a very easy model of licensing, but large entities would get the upper hand in negotiating the license."
"The licensing costs are slightly on the higher side. They need to make it more competitive."
