Offers cloud version, good connectivity and data profiling features
We had proof of concepts where certain test cases were given to improve the functionality of the vendor regarding the supply chain. So, it was a proof of concept. It was not applied in production. It was just illustrating the capabilities of the platform, and we were comparing it with other…

Handles a wide variety of data sources and efficiently organizes and manages integration processes
I'd recommend to invest in staff training upfront and carefully understand the licensing model and your data usage. I would suggest understanding how the licensing model works and how your data flows. This will give you a clearer notion of how much you are going to pay (potential cots). We invested a lot of time figuring out the implications of CPU usage, message rates, memory usage, as well as our data's origin and destination. This allows us to understand the true financial impact of MuleSoft Composer. Without this understanding, you might face unexpected costs. Overall, I would rate the solution nine out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's initial setup is quite straightforward."
"The way that the solution scans is very useful."
"I give the stability a ten out of ten."
"Replication allows us to fully replicate all objects from Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) to in-house/on-premises database in one job."
"Informatica is user-friendly, stable, and scalable. These three aspects are the most valuable for us. If we can make it work well with the CRM, we can continue or try again this year to complete that part of the project. I am confident that this kind of solution is what we need because we have a third-party resource that works in the development."
"The tool manually checks on applying business rules and helps to implement them."
"The user interface is flexible and the visibility of the data flow is amazing."
"The solution is stable."
"The solution invokes some RPS from Composer and then sends emails and flat notifications. It helps us integrate with any third-party SAPE or integration tools."
"The functionality of MuleSoft to connect with any database is the most important feature."
"The prebuilt connectors have saved our customers a lot of time and money."
"The product is easy to use. You don't need programming skills to use it."
"The advantage of using MuleSoft as part as the Salesforce ecosystem is that anything new they build is guaranteed to work with the new features that are coming from the other side."
"The way Composer organizes and manages integration processes is most beneficial. We can easily monitor what's running and what isn't and troubleshoot any data integration issues."

Cons

"The solution doesn't directly connect to any of the analytical tools."
"There may be some types of limitations with the performance."
"I would like to see better visuals for business users, such as a dashboard where they can precisely track where problems are."
"It could be a bit more intuitive, rather than technically complex."
"While my company operates on the cloud, we have seen that Informatica Cloud Data Integration has some performance issues causing it to lag."
"Interoperability is one area where EDC has room for improvement. It was challenging when the faculty took over the data world and had specific vendors they wanted to use, and some were not particularly open platforms."
"We currently have issues with real-time integration."
"The scalability is tough."
"There are some challenges with API sharing in Composer."
"MuleSoft Composer needs to improve its interface and scalability."
"This solution could be improved by offering more integrations with other platforms."
"One additional feature they could add might be something like regional prices. Since we're based in Brazil, we pay in dollars but earn in Brazilian Real."
"The technical support team's response time must be improved."
"There is also one limitation. We cannot see logs, latencies, or request counts."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's pretty high for us. It's more on the higher side, like low to middle high."
"It is cost effective and an easily accessible tool."
"Informatica MDM's price could be lower."
"The pricing is quite flexible."
"I'm not sure about the most recent pricing trends, but I don't believe it's significantly different from PowerCenter. I believe it is nearly the same."
"Informatica Axon is a costly solution. I rate Informatica Axon a four out of ten for its pricing."
"We switched to Informatica PIM because it was cheaper than the Oracle solution. It is cheaper initially, but they will bundle it later. This is what happens in the industry."
"The pricing is high compared to other tools on the market."
"The tool is a bit expensive."
"It's costly, especially for Indian clients."
"Salesforce is licensed by user and by products and so pricing depending on what your requirements are."
"MuleSoft Composer is affordable, and I rate its pricing a five to six out of ten."
