The prebuilt connectors save a lot of time and money, but the customer support and price must be improved
Our customer’s system is very old. We are trying to upgrade it. We are extracting data from the system and sending it to Salesforce. The product is a good option if we want to build process automation for data. It can be done quickly through the tool. We need not do coding and waste our time and efforts. The ease of learning depends on the person who is learning the product. It depends on whether they come from a developer background. It would be easy to learn if they have some experience in coding and have worked on integrations. I haven’t faced many challenges while scaling our integration solutions with MuleSoft Composer. The drag-and-drop interface has not impacted our project deployment time much. The customer support and price can be improved. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Though the tool offers a visually appealing UI, it needs to improve its documentation
With Zapier, improvements are required in the areas of concerns like bugs, ease of use, and documentation. The product has many bugs, so users have to wait for a period ranging from five minutes to an hour to see where the Zap went. In Zapier, Zaps aren't very understandable owing to the way they work. As a user, you would think that in Zapier, a Zap works in a particular way once you set it up, but it won't happen. At times, some Zaps can interfere with each other, because of which there might be infinite loops that may occur, owing to which multiple Zaps continue to run or break down in general, after which nothing would run in your environment. You would not be notified about the breakdown of Zaps. The bugs in the product may be considered to understand or get an explanation of how Zaps works between software systems, so for something between Gmail and HubSpot, Zapier would explain through better documentation what would work and what wouldn't work. Maybe if Zapier had better functionality with Python or any other coding language in general, it would make the product a lot better.

Pros

"The way Composer organizes and manages integration processes is most beneficial. We can easily monitor what's running and what isn't and troubleshoot any data integration issues."
"The advantage of using MuleSoft as part as the Salesforce ecosystem is that anything new they build is guaranteed to work with the new features that are coming from the other side."
"The product is easy to use. You don't need programming skills to use it."
"The functionality of MuleSoft to connect with any database is the most important feature."
"The prebuilt connectors have saved our customers a lot of time and money."
"The solution invokes some RPS from Composer and then sends emails and flat notifications. It helps us integrate with any third-party SAPE or integration tools."
"With the previous CRM we were using – the Google Ads landing pages we had – we were collecting leads manually. That process was not efficient and took a sales team a lot of time to insert these leads manually. Currently, the process is smooth and we use Zapier to collect the leads for us."
"Zapier luckily has a wide range of integrations, I would say."
"The product's most valuable feature is automation."
"Zapier’s most valuable feature is its ability to interconnect applications or devices."
"Zapier handles everything under the sun that you would think you need in automation. It is the most mature integration platform and service on the market."
"The most valuable feature of Zapier is it saves me time doing repetitive tasks."
"The solution is a SaaS and does not require a complex setup."
"Zapier is a really good tool for connecting multiple different platforms and data sources. For example, with Quickbase, I can easily integrate data from other sources like AWS or task-tracking platforms such as ClickUp or Asana."

Cons

"There is also one limitation. We cannot see logs, latencies, or request counts."
"The technical support team's response time must be improved."
"This solution could be improved by offering more integrations with other platforms."
"One additional feature they could add might be something like regional prices. Since we're based in Brazil, we pay in dollars but earn in Brazilian Real."
"MuleSoft Composer needs to improve its interface and scalability."
"There are some challenges with API sharing in Composer."
"There is room for improvement in the support. They are not responsive, and they don't take much time to get resolved."
"With Zapier, improvements are required in the areas of concerns like bugs, ease of use, and documentation."
"I think that this solution should have more apps connected to it."
"The pricing of the solution is quite expensive."
"It is not worth the money if you have a little bit of a technical mind...Zapier is not able to set up different modules. When automation doesn't work, it's not that easy to find why it didn't work."
"Zapier needs to improve in the same way most RPA solutions should, such as Robocorp, Make, or UiPath. They are not good at helping you find the connections that you need for the problem that you have. For example, if need something on Instagram. I'm going to have to do research for hours to be able to find the components or the app, which is going to do what I need it to do. It makes it difficult to use the system when you don't know what to use."
"After mapping them out, and they'd worked for a while, I've had Zapier fail."
"Zapier needs more YouTube or video tutorials or more training for people. That would help a lot. In particular, Zapier should have documentation for every connector. Its documentation needs to be more detailed and visual."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"MuleSoft Composer is affordable, and I rate its pricing a five to six out of ten."
"Salesforce is licensed by user and by products and so pricing depending on what your requirements are."
"The tool is a bit expensive."
"It's costly, especially for Indian clients."
"Think your Zaps through to make sure you don't use more Zaps than you need."
"There is a free plan that is, of course, limited. However, it allows you to understand and check true scenarios for a while."
"Zapier is a paid service. Its license renews monthly, and Zapier will downgrade your subscription to the free version when your credit card doesn't have funds. That significantly impacts your service because everything halts completely. Zapier doesn't have any hidden costs."
"It's very straightforward licensing. There's only one cost you have to pay, and if you want a relevant pricing plan, I think you have two or three different models or packages which include the number of notifications or Zaps, as they call it, that you can program."
"It's very affordable."
"The least expensive plan is $24 a month, and you can go all the way to $800 a month if you're a huge company using many tasks."
"Zapier's price is good."
"The product is reasonably priced."
