The solution provides the ability to backup all types of cloud drives, is inexpensive, and has decent support
MSP360 Backup provides the backup functionality, but we need to provide the storage component. We can use Azure, AWS, or another provider, but we need to choose the storage provider and create a bucket to store our data. The vendor is making changes to improve the functionality of the service and the separation of storage, but I would like to see more integration and a knowledge base of the tool. Currently trying to understand why the storage is separated and how to implement the storage properly is a challenge. Using the solution incurs additional charges for the device storage and backup which are not included in the service. Unlike other solutions such as Kohl which includes everything at one price. MSP360 Backup can be improved by adding inclusive pricing.

One of the cheapest products that also provides prompt support
It is fine if users want to use the product for a general purpose. If they want something with more options, they should choose other solutions. Veeam Agent for Linux has only basic features, and the configuration is not as good as other products. Veaam can create backups of the virtual environment, physical environment, and Office 365. You can also create backups to the cloud. There are many options. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"General ease of use and performance of the Windows version is the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature for me is that I can see what has has been successfully backed up and what not. I do not mean the file or folder view, because that's problematic with GDPR, but I mean which machines have successfully backed up. It's very valuable because you don't have to check the machines. The second feature is that you can change backup settings in the portal."
"The UI is pretty good; it's very simple and very user-friendly."
"The feature that I have found most valuable is its online backup capacity because you don't have to do an entire backup again and again, it just does whatever you type in, you type a, it goes a, you type b, it goes b."
"The feature that I have found most valuable is its online backup capacity because you don't have to do an entire backup again and again, it just does whatever you type in, you type a, it goes a, you type b, it goes b. It doesn't take an entire site up again and again. So that incremental and bit by bit backup is important, it is a nice feature here."
"General ease of use and performance of the Windows version is the most valuable feature."
"MSP360 is vastly cheaper than its competitors and has almost all the same features."
"I was mainly concerned with cloud backups, OneDrive backups, consumer OneDrive, business OneDrive, Google backups, and SharePoint backups. The solution did a good job of the backup."
"The solution is very user-friendly and has an easy to use interface. We can manage it easily. It allows for a simple backup."
"The initial setup was straightforward; it's not complicated and takes around half an hour to implement, depending on the performance of the server where you are installing the backup software."
"We've found the product to be very useful and has very good capabilities."
"I like the backup features of this solution and the integration is very useful."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to pick up individual files."
"I haven't explored all of what this solution has to offer as I have only been using it for four months, but so far it's good and I would recommend it."
"The really amazing feature about Veeam Agent is that when you're using the central deployment model, you can actually use the instant VM recovery feature, which is really a pain point that I find some days."
"The Veeam Backup and Replication Suite is very user-friendly."

Cons

"Using the solution incurs additional charges for the device storage and backup which are not included in the service."
"The solution's pricing is very high."
"The solution needs a better graphical user interface. It's a graphical user interface that is very old-school right now. They could give it a little more modern feel."
"We could basically use just a more concise visual dashboard reporting on the status of the various machines."
"The main improvement is that it should have GDPR compliance. That's the problematic point."
"Maybe implement an easier interface for basic users. For example, a set-up wizard with all the commonly used features as default."
"If I have an incident and I need to restore something very fast, I want to restore a particular virtual machine, maybe in an hour and that is not possible to do with MSP360."
"There are some things that we don't like about it. That is why I was exploring alternatives in a hyper-scale environment. That is why I was checking IT Central Station."
"I rate Veeam Agent for Linus six out of 10."
"Their technical support could be better. I will often find a solution to a problem before they get back to me."
"More Linux systems should be made compatible with the solution."
"There are some roadblocks with the licensing. Right now we are dealing with an issue because we cannot merge licenses."
"In terms of the physical environment, I'd like them to integrate it with other kinds of solutions. We don't just work with Microsoft or Linux, but other kinds of infrastructure data as well."
"However, if you need to backup more types of solutions or Unix systems, like HP/UX, AIX, etc., it's not compatible."
"There isn't much to improve. They just need to follow the trend or the development of other Linux products. Follow in terms of making the product compatible with new versions of Linux. They just need to include as many versions for Linux as possible."
"There is a compatibility issue with HCI."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a very good return on investment."
"It provides a good cost savings compared to our previous cloud backup."
"The cost is pretty inexpensive. Around four to five dollars per device, per workstation on each server."
"I rate the price of MSP360 Backup a seven out of ten."
"It includes a standard licensing fee. Once a year, there is a rebranding fee. The licensing costs are available on the internet for MSP360 Backup. There is a discount structure where if you have over 50 devices, you get a 50% discount. So, my cost is $2 a license per month."
"The solution is expensive."
"MSP360 is vastly cheaper than its competitors and has almost all the same features."
"Pricing is reasonable although can be quite a large upfront cost."
"The costing is very competitive."
"There's the principal license for Veeam Agent for Linux, and then you need to buy additional licenses for your machines."
"Licensing costs are $300,000 USD yearly, and we pay for three years at a time."
"We have purchased a license to use Veeam Agent for Linux and the additional support. The overall cost of Veeam Agent for Linux is expensive."
"The solution is rather expensive and I think the price is too high."
"Licensing costs are monthly."
"It's a subscription based license, which is started on a yearly basis. Currently the licensing is split between three editions: standard, enterprise, and enterprise plus. As long as you check the comparison between the additions and make sure that you have what you need, there are no extra costs with Veeam."
"Veeam Agent is one of the cheapest products in the market."
