Sentiment score
6.9
Zabbix offers responsive support with valuable community forums while some users find paid support costly but effective.
Issues that could be solved quickly sometimes take longer because they go around in circles.
It is so straightforward that I have never had to use the support.

Scalability Issues

Sentiment score
7.8
New Relic is highly scalable and adaptable, efficiently managing large applications and diverse environments with reliable performance.
Sentiment score
6.8
Zabbix is scalable and reliable, efficiently handling millions of metrics, but may require significant database and hardware resources.

Stability Issues

Sentiment score

Sentiment score
7.6
Zabbix is stable, efficient, and reliable, with occasional tuning needed, attributed to external factors like database configurations.

Room For Improvement

Users seek better privacy controls, lower costs, improved functionalities, and enhanced support, reporting, and performance in the system.
Zabbix requires enhancements in discovery, UI, reporting, integration, automation, scalability, customization, and security for improved user experience.
Email alert customization is limited; it cannot be tailored much, which makes the system more rigid than optimal.
The only issue I can note is that it's Linux-based, and Linux documentation is not the best.

Setup Cost

Enterprise users find New Relic's pricing complex and expensive, but appreciate its comprehensive features and competitive value compared to competitors.
Zabbix attracts enterprises with its cost-effective open-source model, offering free use and optional paid support and training.

Valuable Features

New Relic offers real-time monitoring, detailed insights, and integration tools, enhancing application performance management with user-friendly scalability.
Zabbix provides flexible, scalable open-source monitoring with customizable features, cost-effectiveness, and strong community support for IT infrastructure.
Using New Relic speeds up troubleshooting and resolution, giving us a clearer picture of where issues are, thus saving time and effort.
If disk usage surpasses a threshold, say 70%, I receive alerts and can take proactive action.

Has a simple user interface and end-to-end monitoring and self-healing features
My organization uses many application performance management solutions, such as AppDynamics, New Relic APM, Splunk, and Datadog. I'm the CTO for the state of Hawaii, and across the board, different departments use different APM tools. I'm using the latest version of New Relic APM, but I cannot recall the exact version. My company has a dozen engineers using and monitoring New Relic APM. I'd tell anyone planning to use New Relic APM that it has to fit what you have. For example, most of my company's payload is in AWS, and the tool has adopters and features that CloudWatch cannot provide. Still, New Relic APM can, so you should do a demo or trial run first and see if it's a tool that'll help you with end-to-end monitoring. New Relic APM is working well for my company, so an excellent way to start is to do a trial run to see how the tool works out for your current applications. My rating for the tool is nine out of ten because my experience with it has been great. New Relic also worked closely with my company and has always been upfront on what's available and what's not. My company is a New Relic APM customer.

Allows any number of customizations but lacks functionality for finding root causes
We have not yet purchased the commercial version so have a lack of technical ability. We do not yet fully know the key points or key features of the solution. We just use what we use along with WhatsUp Gold. Based on our use only, stability is rated a seven out of ten.

Nagios vs. Zabbix vs. PRTG vs. Spiceworks vs. Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor
I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want…

(1) Can we design the Zabbix dashboard to look like New Relic’s rich dashboard? You’d have to develop an agent that plugs into New Relic to get all their data 1st and then a dashboard to assimilate both as Big Panda has already done. (2) Can we see all New Relic features with Zabbix, like End-to-end Web transaction analysis, Database Transaction analysis and reports on usability and error ra...
