Offers extensive features for efficient operations in small to midsize businesses
The solution is very good. However, for very small companies, maybe a cloud service is better. Other software like QuickBooks may work well if you do not have many employees and require simple invoicing and inventory. This software, though, is a bit more advanced compared to QuickBooks, offering flexibility, multi-user capability, and options for application development. It connects directly to the database for reporting or external systems, which is beneficial for companies needing more advanced features. However, if I need a very complex system, Sage might not be suitable. Overall, I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

Areas of SAP S_4HANA that could be improved or enhanced include the evolving aspects of the application over time. There are other SAP applications such as SuccessFactors and Ariba that integrate with SAP S_4HANA. In recent years, SAP introduced an addition called RISE with SAP, which allows companies to use cloud solutions instead of requiring their own premises hardware. SAP partners with cloud providers such as Azure, Amazon, and Google, assisting companies in migrating from hardware to cloud solutions. A challenge that arises is the lack of immediate expertise when raising tickets for problem resolution with SAP, leading to delays. We have asked SAP to improve this area to provide users with better benefits from the cloud solution, as we encounter this issue frequently.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Regarding the cost, it is cheap. I pay a one-time fee instead of a monthly license fee per user."
"For me, it is a ten because I did not have any problems or issues."
"The warehouse module is imperative in keeping our records up-to-date because we have multiple locations."
"The product provides consistent updates and upgrades."
"The technical support is very good."
"I would rate the solution nine out of ten."
"We have improved the visibility of the information between the different areas, implemented tools that allow us to improve logistics processes and even reduce the immobilized stock, speed up the closing of accounting processes."
"I have no issues with the stability of the product, as everything seems to be fine."
"The core accounting model is robust, so we don't have any issues with it. It has industry-specialized modules like retail, hospitality, and manufacturing. Many industrial-specific modules are very helpful. It's a very robust, reliable, and simple-to-use product. In my experience, it's straightforward."
"The most valuable feature is the detail in all of the processes; the solution captures our policies and enables us to implement our policies in SAP, and there are different models that address our needs."
"The processing time has been reduced, and the screens have become more intuitive, leading to a faster user experience."
"A robust product with integration between all modules."
"The solution makes its use and the management of our infrastructure easy."

Cons

"While the software may not be very expensive, it lacks many advanced features found in other software."
"Updating incorrect information takes a specific process to correctly back out the error to fix it."
"We're definitely looking at a new system because everything in this product needs improving."
"The vendor stopped supporting the solution on the Linux platform."
"The theory-side of the solution needs to be improved."
"It would be very good to merge the SuccessFactors or other solutions with S/4HANA to make it one suite. They could have a single dashboard for all types of products. I have many embedded solutions."
"It's an expensive solution"
"The classic interface needs improvement"
"An area for improvement would be integration with different kinds of legacies. In the next release, I would like the product to be prepared for blockchain technology and the best way to communicate with social networking."
"MRP repost area should be improved. The production information report also needs to be improved."
"SAP S/4HANA offers two deployment options: the private cloud and the public cloud. The private cloud is a comprehensive solution. While it does require numerous approvals, it is a highly reliable product."
"The migration from previous versions to SAP S/4HANA is a challenge both for customers and clients; there should be simpler ways to incorporate the new tools into a process framework."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is reasonable."
"The problem with SAP is that it offers two licenses, namely runtime license and enterprise license. If you have a runtime license, then you are doomed since you can't take any data out from the tool."
"It's quite an expensive solution"
"The price of the solution is expensive."
"This is not the cheapest solution on the market, so you need to invest seriously in it. As a solid product, it has a solid price. It's definitely one of the more expensive tools on the market, but it's also one of the best products on the market."
"The solution's pricing depends on customers and how much discount they can get. However, the list price is expensive."
"I don't think any company would find the product expensive"
"The licensing format is complicated for SAP S/4HANA"
"It is on a quarterly basis. There are no additional costs. There is just the standard fee."
