Integrates well, useful client auditing, and beneficial reporting
If you use an appliance, it can be challenging to scale. However, we can use solutions, such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for cloud-based services or private cloud-based services with Kubernetes and Calico. Additionally, we can use a firewall for managing traffic on the internet or LAN and internal networks. We can integrate Sophos EPP Suite with enterprise solutions, such as Cisco ACI for managing role policies, among other things. We have around 400 to 500 users who are clients for our service on our internal network. Additionally, in our IDC we have thousands of clients who receive services from us.

High availability, effective VPM, and responsive support
There is room for improvement with Trend Micro Deep Security, as there are instances where installations may need to be redone. There seem to be glitches when working with older Windows servers, such as those from 2003 or 2005, requiring us to uninstall and reinstall the product to resolve the issue.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product’s ease of deployment is its best feature."
"The most valuable feature is endpoint detection and response."
"The most valuable feature Sophos EPP Suite is that it protects the computer beyond the premise. Whether the user is at home, in the office, or traveling, you are able to apply the policies as the user moves."
"It's easy to deploy."
"It is doing its job. We use it for standard antivirus purposes and for making sure that people aren't downloading infected attachments. Because we use the cloud version, it is easy to maintain. We don't have to do anything to really maintain it. It gets updated automatically."
"It is stable."
"The product’s selling point is its ability to protect against zero-day threats and its integration with the firewall."
"The most valuable features of Sophos EPP Suite are the synchronized threat and ransomware protection."
"There's useful monitoring on offer."
"The most valuable features of the solution we have enabled in our organization are its anti-malware capabilities, applications, web reputation, and integrity monitoring."
"The integration options of Trend Micro Deep Security have been particularly valuable."
"The customer service/technical support for this solution is very fast."
"There is no competition for this product, as no other product provides HIPS, host-firewall, and anti-malware together."
"In addition to providing our clients a view of what's happening in their data centers, it also does virtual patching in the data center. It enhances the security in the data center big time."
"It helps us detect and protect against network penetrations at the specific point of intrusion."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the virtual path function, which is the reason we chose to implement it."

Cons

"If we could bypass the first couple of levels of support when we have a problem then it would be easier and quicker when we need an issue resolved."
"We need to uninstall the license to move to another endpoint."
"The solution could be more stable."
"The solution could improve in configuration and the central logging and dashboard."
"We have to use additional third-party solutions to fill the gaps in the capabilities of Sophos EPP Suite, such as using a mobility scanner. It would be helpful to add this feature."
"In the next release, I would like to see the phishing attached included in the firewall."
"Sophos EPP Suite could improve by decreasing the number of resources it uses. There are other solutions that use one-fifth of the resources."
"Sometimes there are issues with the antivirus back logs."
"As for what could be improved, I think it should come with an XDR facility without any extra cost. They're always releasing new features, but we need to pay extra for them."
"The tool needs to improve its subscription."
"It would be better if they merge a few features into one product. For example, they have an encryption feature that is separately sold. If they could merge it with Apex One or any endpoint security solution, maybe it would also be good for the end user."
"f it had the capability of generating retroactive alerts it would be helpful."
"Their support should be improved. We need support in the UAE, but it is always going to some other country or region, and the time schedule is not suitable for us."
"The updates for legacy systems are not rolled out frequently."
"The client can show as offline sometimes, and that becomes a bit difficult for troubleshooting. We end up basically redeploying the client. This is something that could be improved in the future."
"The default reports provided don't provide much insight."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Pricing could always be lower. It costs around $120 per seat per year."
"The license cost for Sophos EPP Suite depends on the features you want to use. For example, if you want to use advanced features, such as web application firewalling, the cost may be higher. In general, I believe the licensing cost is reasonable."
"I rate the price of Sophos EPP Suite a four out of five."
"My company has a yearly license agreement with Sophos EPP Suite."
"The solution's cost is reasonable."
"The platform is expensive but worth it."
"The product has a yearly licensing fee."
"Price-wise, it is cheap. We need to pay 1,500 to 2,000 INR per user...On a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap, and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
"The solution is considerably cheaper than other similar solutions."
"Purchasing this solution through the AWS Marketplace was secure and quick. AWS has good prices for a good product."
"Purchasing on the AWS Marketplace is like shopping on Amazon Prime."
