I really appreciate Lansweeper, and I believe it will continue to be valuable for me. Over the past six years, I've been using Lansweeper with three different companies, and I absolutely love it. It's an excellent tool that I find very effective. Firstly, a prerequisite is a basic understanding and proficiency in English. Secondly, it's essential to recognize the need for an IT specialist, particularly one with active network and direct Microsoft experience. Lansweeper is suitable for individuals possessing such skills and expertise. However, for those without a background in networking and Microsoft, it may not be suitable.

The fact that the license is free under a hundred nodes is under-advertised. If people started using it at home for their home environment, they would quickly determine how valuable it is. Obviously, it'd have to be someone who has some admin experience, but a system administrator who has his own home network, even if it's only a couple of machines, can quickly figure out how valuable the tool is simply by installing it and using it in their house. It is free under a hundred nodes, and it is fully featured. I use it at my own house now. I started using it because I wanted to learn it, and I found that it's a tremendous resource for education. I'd rate it a nine out of 10. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 10 is that there are bigger or better products out there, but they cost a lot more money.

They've also got the ability to copy information and run it when you're out in the cloud. I want that. We don't do that. I don't want all my information in the cloud, so we don't do that part. I'll rate the solution an eight. I like it. We've had a few issues, but as far as the support, it's been pretty good there.
Managing IT has never been a bigger challenge. Hardware, software, and users can be anywhere at any time, making IT environments extremely dynamic and often complex. A seemingly simple question has become terribly difficult to answer: ‘Who is using what?’ This question inspired Lansweeper and still drives us today. We believe that answering it is crucial to tackle and simplify many of the challenges IT professionals face every day.
