One key difference is that Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 integrates all modules - it's one solution that includes payroll, finance, inventory management, and supply chain. Microsoft Dynamics 365, on the other hand, is a modular solution that allows us to choose the modules ourselves. I rate the tool a seven out of ten.
I have worked on Microsoft Dynamics AX, and I feel it's fully functional as it was able to fulfill all the requirements of my company's customers. The tool is able to provide a friendly environment to fulfill the needs of my company's customers. My company is satisfied with the services offered by Microsoft Dynamics AX. My company usually sees some issues with the connectors while integrating Microsoft Dynamics AX with our existing systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Office 365 provide connectors to create the environment, after which we need to increase the connectors to be able to create and download the VMs for our company's environment. In general, everything is okay, and there are no issues with the tool. I recommended the product to others since it is very easy to use. It is not difficult to use compared to other platforms providing similar services. It is easy for admins and users. I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
There are six different methods for integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 with other applications. These methods include using connectors provided by Microsoft and third-party applications for plug-and-play integration of specific data. Additionally, the integration can be achieved through the OData Integration Module, Data Migration Framework, Excel integration, and the Common Data Model and Common Data Service. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten. Compared to SAP and Oracle, integrating with other applications is cost-effective and easy. The recommendation is to use Microsoft Dynamics AX as soon as possible to leverage its benefits. It is not preferable to use different ERP systems that operate in silos and may be challenging to integrate. Microsoft provides solutions to streamline integration, making it highly recommended, especially for enterprise-level customers.
They should consider the size of their business, operational requirements, budget, the number of employees, etc. while making a purchase decision. The cost of licensing and maintenance will accumulate every year and be recurring. They need to consider all these aspects and compare them with all the products they explore. I rate Microsoft Dynamics AX a six out of ten.

We are generally satisfied with Dynamics AX, but I guess that also depends on what type of transactions the company is dealing with. It is important to consider that benefits and use cases may vary depending on the needs of the business itself. Our organization does not work 24/7 but our IT sector is available at all times for all of our users. As of now, we are happy with the solution. But due to server-related, technology-related, and operating system-related issues we face, we plan on moving to Dynamics 365. I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
It is a good solution but quite complex, especially when integrating with other systems. Some simpler products like Sage are much easier to integrate with. I think it is because of the product’s proprietary database, MSSQL. Other databases are more open source. They use MySQL in the background, so it is easier to integrate with other products. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I'd advise new users to know first, what kind of business they are going to be, in or if that business needs to be running on top of Dynamics or not. If it's finance, then it's fine. If it's not finance, then they need to take something more industrious and geared towards a specific system. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

I rate this solution a nine out of ten because the implementation was complex. I would recommend this solution to others, as long as they have the money for it.
I rate Microsoft Dynamics AX an eight out of ten. Whether or not someone should implement this solution depends on their user requirements. For us, it's for 100 people, so it's good, but I'm not sure if it would be good for more than 100 people. For a medium-sized business, it's good.
I would rate the solution a six out of ten. It will serve all basic purposes but from an analytics perspective, there will be some limitations. You will not get ready-made things from the solution. You need to develop or you need to integrate with multiple products to see that kind of reporting from it.

I work as an implementor and a consultant and I partner with Microsoft and SAP. In the country I work in, only on-premises solutions are possible. They are not going into cloud solutions at all. I'd rate the solution an eight out of ten. If a company has a good development infrastructure, and they have an in-house development team, for smaller software such as SAP Business One and NetSuite, you can go with one developer or fewer developers. However, with AX or Dynamics 365, normally you'd probably be best with three to four developers in-house.
My advice is to focus on the size of the business when it comes to creating a solution. For example, if it's a medium-sized company, don't offer Business Central. Instead, offer them AX for finance and operations. Or, or if they are not medium don't sell them finance and operations, sell them the Business Center it would be a better choice. Give the user what they need. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.
I would advise potential users that it's a good solution on the technical side. I would recommend it. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Microsoft Dynamics AX an eight.

On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best. I would rate Microsoft Dynamics as only a five-out-of-ten in general. It does not meet our needs and will essentially be decommissioned.

The solution offers a comprehensive set of tools and features to support financial management, supply chain management, human resources management, and project management, among others.
