I don't know the solution's current cost. Two years ago, it cost $200 for 20 credits, which was a high cost. On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a seven out of ten.

While Trend Vision One - Cloud Security was a cost-effective solution for us in 2021, we've noticed a recent price increase that makes it less affordable.
One year ago, Trend transitioned to a credit system for licensing, which has confused users. While each user receives a set number of credits initially, adding more credits becomes complex. Previously, purchasing a license based on user count was much simpler. Now, even mid-contract, if Trend increases the cost of a product, they also raise the required number of credits until the year's end, further compounding the confusion.
The pricing for Cloud One is reasonable because my costs scale up and down based on my infrastructure usage. If I scale up my infrastructure, such as by adding a new workload, my AWS and security costs will both increase. However, if I scale down my infrastructure, my security costs will also decrease. This is not the case with other vendors, where I may still have to pay for security even if I scale down my infrastructure. For example, if I implement traditional security measures, such as gate guards and guns, I will still have to pay for these security measures even if I scale down my infrastructure. However, with Cloud One, I am charged based on my usage of security features, such as the number of host-based agents I have deployed, the number of times my DevOps pipeline runs, or the amount of data I store in my repository. This means that I can save money on security costs if my team scales down and my DevOps pipeline slows down.

Pricing for Trend Micro Cloud One Container Security in the corporate market is okay. You must explain how stable and easy it is to manage so that pricing won't be a problem for your clients.
Trend Micro Cloud One Container Security is not way too expensive, but they could be a bit cheaper. The subscription is mostly on a monthly basis, but that all depends on multiple additional services. The solution itself basically comes with only one functionality, which is scanning the images that are deployed inside your infrastructure. However, other features like data integrity, traffic flow integrity, and similar additional services are paid over the top. The basic service is just a foundation and depending on how many additional services you sign up for over the top, it gives you a better picture of what is happening inside your infrastructure.

I was not involved in purchasing the solution, but it's my understanding that Cloud One is affordable.

The price could be lower. That is a bit of a consideration. Maintenance and support are included.
